Ratchathewi Hyde Away

I've always wanted to stay at this hotel, but it was always fully booked. Luckily, I managed to snag a reservation this time. The outdoor balcony offers great value for money, and the fact that each floor has only one unit provides excellent privacy. There are plenty of massage parlors and 7-Elevens nearby. The only downside is the hygiene issue, which definitely needs attention. When I returned to my room at night, there were a lot of ants, trailing from the toilet all the way to the air conditioner. Since the staff aren't on duty 24/7, I called the hotel's number provided by Trip.com multiple times before someone finally answered. However, they just said no staff were on duty and I'd have to deal with the hygiene problem myself. Thankfully, Trip.com intervened and helped out, and in the end, I received a small compensation. But seriously, the hygiene really needs to improve.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center but still quiet. There's only one room per floor, and all the facilities are top-notch, especially the spaciousness. It even has a sofa, coffee table, and a bathtub – fantastic value for money! The service was also very attentive and excellent!

I'm so angry; this hotel is pure false advertising. The exterior photo promoted on Trip.com (Pic 1) shows a beautifully designed building, but when we arrived, we were shocked to see it looked like Pic 3 – a self-built house down a secluded alley. We were instantly and utterly disappointed, feeling completely scammed. At night, the air conditioning light in our room couldn't be turned off, which disturbed our sleep, and neither of us got good rest. This terrible hotel was the worst in terms of environment and experience among the four hotels we stayed at during our Thailand trip, yet it was the most expensive. Even The Akara Pattaya wasn't as pricey. False advertising, sleep disruption – a truly awful experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we really appreciate their hospitality. The room was surprisingly spacious for the price, and the bathtub was a nice touch. The shower drain could be a little better, but it's not a major issue. It's rare to find a place that offers such a generous supply of snacks and drinks. The location is excellent, with easy access to the airport rail link and close proximity to the BTS, making transportation very convenient.

The location is convenient, the staff are polite, and the room is bright and clean. I especially liked the glass sliding door for the bathroom, which makes the space feel bigger. However, I woke up feeling really tired, which might have something to do with the mattress.
