The Peninsula Beijing

My family really loved this hotel. The room was more spacious than other hotels, and the semi-buffet breakfast was quite good.

Our stay at the Peninsula Wangfujing was an excellent experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff at the entrance. In particular, a middle-aged gentleman helped us with our luggage to the front desk, which truly showed the hotel's sincerity and passion for customer service. Initially, the room assigned by the front desk wasn't to my liking, but after mentioning it, the staff promptly arranged an equivalent suite for us. Their efficiency and service attitude were delightful. The hotel's breakfast restaurant is located on the first floor of the lobby. The ambiance is fantastic, the breakfast selection is rich, and the staff's service is impeccable. Perfect!

The breakfast was great and really a highlight, but the front desk experience was terrible. I've been unhappy with the front desk service during my last two stays. Coming from Universal Studios, although I booked through Trip.com rather late, I left plenty of time before arrival and requested an extra bed in the remarks. The hotel didn't call to confirm in advance, and nothing was prepared when we got there. The check-in staff weren't very enthusiastic. After entering the room, we told the front desk that the child needed to rest and we urgently needed dental kits, but we still had to wait half an hour for the extra bed and toiletries to arrive. We originally came for the breakfast, and the restaurant service was indeed very good, but other hotels offer the same standard. Overall, the experience was just average, and I won't be coming back anytime soon.

My go-to hotel whenever I visit Beijing. Great location, convenient transportation, and reasonable prices too!

I called ahead to let them know my arrival time and needs. They upgraded me to a 100-square-meter suite, and the extra bed was already prepared when I checked in. The front desk staff was gentle and polite, and all the staff I encountered were very proactive. The bedding was comfortable, and you couldn't tell the hotel was old; it's very well-maintained. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing.

The breakfast was excellent and very generous. The room was more high-tech than many 5-star hotels.

The stay was great! It was my kid's eleventh birthday, and they even gave us a small cake upon check-in. The only really bad experience was during check-out. I overheard someone checking in who was complaining about being stuck in traffic for two hours on the way to the hotel, and they were demanding a room upgrade. The front desk ended up upgrading them... and it was the same room type I had paid an extra 1390 for to upgrade during my stay. Does that mean I can just do the same thing next time to get a free upgrade?

The entire room features smart controls, which felt very high-end. We booked a suite, and it was spacious and bright. The location is excellent, right near Wangfujing, and also close to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The breakfast was delicious, with à la carte options as well as Western and Chinese choices.

The front desk staff, Wang Zhipeng, has an excellent service attitude. Every time I return to China, I choose to stay at The Peninsula Beijing, and I can't find a single fault with it.
