DoubleTree by Hilton Montgomery Downtown

This is a solid place, which is nice enough for the price with a great location. Walking distance to plenty of places to eat and drink or even take in a minor league baseball game.

This facility has a lot of potential. The bones of the structure are good. It just needs some major updating. It appears that nothing had been done in 15-20 years. There were maintenance issues in the room that could have made the visit better such as toilet paper holder hanging from the wall, side table outlets and lights working. The cleanliness also was lacking. That was someone else’s long hair on the tiles in the bathtub. Also, I remember Doubletree giving warm cookies when you checked in. There was no offer. There were no options for breakfast or coffee available in the lobby. It was a disappointing stay.

Parking isnt the best. They do have a lower level parking deck but it looks a bit creepy, but it works. I wish my room had a microwave or fridge. I did book this hotel last minute and there wasnt many options to choose from at the moment.

Conveniently located walking distance from all downtown sites( within half a mile of Rosa Parks, River, Dining District. etc). Great hotel bar in the lobby. Clean room, good value.

The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, and the temperature control worked very well. The bedding, pillows, and sheets were comfortable. However, the glass shower doors did not prevent water from leaking, and the toilet continued to leak after flushing. Otherwise, the location is great and the hotel is generally good.

There was mold on the ceilings in the bathroom the beds were so small you couldn’t fit but one person in them and there was so many people outside begging for money worst experience of my life with my children with me

Breakfast was too expensive, so we walked 2 blocks to coffee shop and ate. Room was clean, and bed was comfortable, but furniture was old and curtain torn. Staff was the best part. They were friendly and helpful.

The staff was very good as well as the pay as you go breakfast. The hotel is dated with obvious attempts to repair as necessary. The room was comfortable however the window AC/heater was very old and loud making restful sleep difficult

Stayed 2 days the room booked here was not honored. Was told the room doesn’t equal the same. When I booked a suite. The told me the rooms equals to a king handicap room.Was given a double bed room because apparently there were no suites available.The last day I was there the house keeper invaded our room twice at 8am and 10am l. Knocking on the door and walking into the room. My family and I definitely uncomfortable. When we were leaving asked her name and the name she gave me the front desk lady said she didn’t know her…said she would have the manager call me to accommodate my experience but never received a call. 14 dollars a day for parking. And the parking deck is nasty. Trash and what looked to be old parts to the hotel In the parking desk. Definitely will not be booking here ever again.
