I enjoyed the activities. Cleanliness, service and value need some improvement. The spa was a complete disappointment.

The people/experiences are fantastic. Best around. So many choices and amazing teachers/staff - from Brian in reception to Katie/Nick in culinary, Beth in Equine, Cassie in art, Will/Mark in Wellness - excellent. The facility is very nice, pretty location. Very clean. and inviting with indoor pathways. Spa is well done. The beds - amazing. There are some logistics that are a bit annoying - the registration for experiences/spa can be cumbersome and a bit difficult. Request to get rooms close together was also not honored even though reminders were provided. Food was largely very good - skip the short ribs/steak.

My husband and I went for two nights and had an amazing stay. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. The food was very tasty and good quality. I was especially grateful that there was always a vegan/plant based meal option available at every meal. I especially love that it’s all inclusive/no tipping so that you can truly enjoy the experience without having to worry about having to pay or tip during your stay.

Loved my time at Miraval. The entire stay felt really relaxing and Miraval curates the experience very well. Some classes were better than others - I recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying an activity you wouldn’t do without a push.

It’s okay if you want a hotel Experience peppered with artistic experiences, meditation fitness, yoga and animal therapy. The experience and services felt siloed not intergrated for a fulfilling experience. It was very pricey for the three nights I stayed at Miravel. They money could have been well spent doing a focused retreat.

Pros: - Staff was friendly and hospitable for the most part - Room was clean and bed was super comfy, like a cloud - Spa area was very relaxing, and spa service was great (massage) - Pools were nice, especially outdoor hot tub and indoor/outdoor pool and lounge area Cons: - Food was awful. Breakfast and lunch were especially egregious, with things being poorly cooked, completely unseasoned, etc. There is a clear emphasis on making things vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/nut free/etc, as if they think this equates to things being healthy. Things can have meat, and be healthy, and things can be vegetarian, and still taste good. They made bizarre flavor combinations that ruined dishes (e.g. perfectly cooked carrots covered in a gross sour sauce, nicely fried chickpea squares served with the worst bitter/sour green sauce we had ever had, etc). It was insane how many things were gross. Options were also limited outside of dinner, and their "24/7 grab and go" section was only stocked once at the beginning of the day, so they might say 24/7 but it was empty by 6pm... so, we were left without anything to eat after dinner hours. There was also not enough room in the dining area for all the guests, so we had to wait to sit for lunch or told to get takeout... how is that okay? - Almost no classes/activities were included, despite the $1,000+/night price tag. Even the most random "align your chakras" classroom activity was $100+. Like huh!? I cannot believe people are paying for this stuff. And while spa service was great, it was no better than any other reputable massage place, while costing twice the price ($240 for 50 mins!). - The grounds were uninspiring, looking the same as your average Hilton or similar. It kind of gave "a cure for wellness" vibes, a little unsettling and austere. Definitely not an expensive looking place. We left early because we did not want to suffer through another meal here and there was nothing else to do that did not cost hundreds of dollars extra. I will certainly not be coming back, but if you are super rich and enjoy just lazing around or don't mind blowing money on the classes, it could be a good vibe for some people.

Such a peaceful weekend! The resort is so beautiful, quiet, clean. I wish I could live there! I had the most amazing massage I’ve ever had. Also received room upgrade which was really nice.

My second stay at Miraval Berkshires was extremely disappointing. When I walked into my room at check-in, I found an opioid pill on the floor. My husband is in recovery, so I see firsthand how hard the battle is every day—this could have devastating consequences for someone vulnerable. For a wellness resort that hosts AA meetings and promotes recovery, this is completely unacceptable. When I raised the issue, staff and a supervisor spoke about me in the back office, apparently thinking I couldn’t hear them—but I did. Their behavior was condescending, snarky, and felt like gaslighting. Cleanliness throughout the property was unacceptable. Tables all over the resort were left unclean. In the women’s spa, two bathrooms were out of order, one stall door was ripped off its hinges, and lockers contained trash from the previous day. Dirty towels were overflowing, and there weren’t enough clean ones to use. Waitstaff were aggressive and inattentive. I also spoke with multiple returning guests who all agreed the property has declined drastically in both service and quality. At a property that averages $1,200–$2,000 per night, this is not a luxury experience. If Miraval wants to even pretend to be a luxury resort, they need to replace the front desk staff and completely rethink their approach to guest service. I have no concerns beyond my experience—I simply will not be returning. As a travel advisor, I would never recommend Miraval Berkshires to any clients, friends or family. Positives- The airport shuttle staff, and spending time with my sister and cousins.

Excellent, relaxing stay with a friend. LOVE the all inclusive/gratuity included vibe because it allows you to fully relax without thinking about any of that/worrying about having cash on me, etc. Staff is beyond accommodating, food is excellent with great variety and spaces were focused on relaxation. The rooms are very ordinary.. nice but more like a nice hotel room vs a "cottage" but you spend most of the time outside of the room anyhow. The bedding is SO comfortable and amazing so sleep is excellent. Overall great stay, highly recommend.
