Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort

The best service experience I've ever had. Ploy at the front desk was fantastic, very patient and helpful! Her English was excellent, the best I encountered among Thais on this trip. 😄 The beach staff were incredibly good, patiently teaching me how to kayak. I learned kayaking here, which is truly memorable! The spa had the most delightful ambiance I've ever experienced, and the service was top-notch! I absolutely loved showering in the garden! The two young ladies at the beach bar were also wonderful, with genuine and warm smiles! Out of the three hotels I stayed at, I emailed all of them for information and courses, and this was the only one that replied instantly! Their attitude was incredibly patient and meticulous! The others basically ignored my inquiries... In short, the service was so good it needs no further praise. The landscape design was my favorite, especially the spa area! Designed by master Bill, it offers changing views at every turn, even evoking the feel of classical Suzhou gardens, but integrated with tropical plants. The monkey narrative 🐒 was also very interesting. The White Lotus team really knows how to choose locations! No wonder the art direction in that show was so good; much of it comes from the inherent beauty of the landscape itself! The set design and art greatly enhanced that series! 🤣 The location is very convenient, with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. Fisherman's Village is just five minutes away! The only pity is that the most important aspect, the room facilities, were really not up to par (they felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the hotel's quality)... The duvet was also quite damp... And the pool was quite crowded! It lacked a bit of a premium feel, and there were many families with children, making it a bit noisy. Otherwise, I would definitely return to Koh Samui just for this hotel and spa!

This hotel is stunningly beautiful. No wonder 'The White Lotus' was filmed here! The staff are incredibly attentive yet never intrusive. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. Honestly, the only minor point I could 'nitpick' about is the hotel's rather small grounds. There weren't many people during my stay, but it's easy to imagine how cramped it could get during peak season. Also, the seabed is silty. Given that the water gets deep quite quickly, it wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but that's just how it is everywhere in Bophut. It was very convenient to walk to the fishing village, where there are lots of different dining options to suit every taste and budget.

The room was a bit small and pricey, but the service was excellent. They even arranged a surprise for our anniversary. The whole atmosphere was very chill, though there were a lot of tourists. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Although I arrived after 9am, I was shown to my room immediately. I also accidentally booked a spa appointment and replied to an automated email, so I didn't receive the email, but when I explained the situation, they applied the discount. The service was very good. The pool and garden were lovely. My room was connecting, so I was bothered by the noise from the next room.

It was also close to Fisherman's Village and we had a great stay.
