Hostal Restaurante Puerta del Alcázar

The facilities were old, the bathroom was full of mold, and the room smelled of smoke. However, the guy at the front desk and in the cafe was absolutely lovely. Recommendation: Use mold killer to remove the mold from the walls, the bathroom window, and the shower.

The location is perfect, and the service was good too. It's perfect for a one or two night stay.

The hotel check-in time was too late. When I checked out at 8am, there was no one there, and I had trouble opening one of the two doors. When I asked them to book a taxi the day before, they readily agreed. The shampoo and body wash were in one bottle. The shower had plenty of hot water.

The receptionist was generally good, the waitresses during breakfast, not so much.

The hotel is very well located, right across from the city walls. For a two-star hotel, they have a very good breakfast. The only drawback was that we were given a room behind the reception (I understand it's for disabled guests), and the bathroom had a window overlooking the restaurant. Although the glass was frosted, when the light was on, you could see right into the room. It would be good if they could fix that. But otherwise, and I repeat, for a two-star hotel, it more than met our expectations.

Mejor de lo esperado por las valoraciones. El hostal es antiguo pero está renovado, no con la mejor calidad. Está limpio, inmejorablemente ubicado, muy cómodo para entrar y salir. No suele haber nadie en recepción. El desayuno no es bueno; café aguado, zumo de bote y pan o bollo. Las habitaciones no tienen ningún aislamiento acústico y se oye absolutamente todo. La calefacción está demasiado alta. Los colchones regular, y la habitación pequeña. Para una noche con descuento está suficiente.
