Joia Rose Hall by Iberostar

The hotel is great and was clean however the AC did not work the first night of our two night stay. The food choices at the buffet was also not great. We waited 2 hours at the Jamaican restaurant the first night and still left without dessert. Proper training of the restaurant staff is badly needed. Every one was just looking unhappy and like they did not want to be there.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The property was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. The view was absolutely stunning and made the experience even more memorable. A special thank you to Devon, our butler, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His exceptional service truly elevated our experience. The drinks were also fantastic, with great quality and variety. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

They have roaches… It’s not completely infested but I saw 3 roaches during my five night stay. The rooms were slightly outdated but if they get those roaches under control this resort would get a better review. The food was decent. The entertainment was great. The layout of the property was great. It’s a well balanced all inclusive resort. Ownership should invest in renovations and pest control. Then it would be at least a 9/10

I stayed at Jiao Iberostar for a week to celebrate my sister's birthday during our first trip to Jamaica. The location itself is beautiful .The pools, beach, and variety of activities on the resort kept us entertained throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the staff, especially some of the female staff members. We experienced rude behavior and felt racially profiled during our stay. It was very noticeable that white guests were treated with more respect, received quicker service, and were given far more attention than we were. What made this even more disappointing is that I have previously stayed at Iberostar in Mexico, where the experience was absolutely breathtaking. The staff there treated us like queens everyone was friendly, kind, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond. Because of that experience, I expected the same level of hospitality in Jamaica, which is why I chose this resort in the first place. It's truly a shame to feel racially profiled by our own people while trying to enjoy a special family vacation. During checkout, a member of the guest services team asked us to leave a review of the property, and we agreed. She then asked to see my phone so she could show me where to leave the review, but instead she began writing a 5-star review herself. She said, “I want to make sure you review us.” That’s when I told her our stay had not been great at all. That made me question how many of the 5-star reviews were writen by staff

Beautiful hotel and clean. Staff were very nice. The only issue was activities were not accurate. Yoga time was stated 6:30 in the morning and it never happened.

The staff are very friendly but the resort is no where near a five star. The food was terrible, low quality, processed and poorly made. The room was tired and old. We did find out they are closing in June for major renovations so that’s a good thing. The positives were the pool area, the private beach and the Jamaican smiles from all the staff. The entertainment was a hit, three really good shows and a fabulous female singer in the lobby area. I don’t think we would go back. I wish them the best with the renovation project it’s very much needed and please concentrate on quality of food not quantity.

Property is beautiful. Food was great. Service very good. Only issue was, we were there to celebrate our anniversary and even though several people asked if we were celebrating anything. There was nothing special offered or provided.

The property is about to close down on June 1 for much needed renovations. Probably should not be open at this stage. We just stayed between May 9-16 and roof work had already started which woke us early each morning with the noise. The carpets smell strongly of wet dog probably from flooding after the 2025 hurricane. For the amount we paid to stay, it was highly disappointing and we requested to cut the trip short for partial refund which was not approved. We’ve stayed at many Iberostars and have loved them. This was by far the least impressive experience. Very disappointing. Staff are very nice but can only do so much with the facility as it is. Lobby bartenders were spotty with service.

I had an absolutely amazing birthday stay at JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional and the entire resort exceeded my expectations. Every area of the resort—from the pools to the restaurants to the beach—was clean, relaxing, and well cared for. The all-inclusive experience was worth every moment, with delicious food, great drinks, and plenty of options throughout the day. What really made this trip unforgettable was the staff. The entertainment and amenities team were absolutely top tier—friendly, energetic, professional, and genuinely focused on making sure guests had a great time. They created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere that made celebrating my birthday even more special. If you’re looking for a relaxing adults-only getaway with beautiful scenery, excellent service, and amazing vibes, I highly recommend JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar.
