Fairbanks Extended Stay

It’s like a 1970’s college dorm that hasnt been upgraded much. It’s functional, but janky. 1 plastic cup that didnt leak. 2 plates, 2 forks. You get it. Minimal and barely functional. Sweet owners, horrible manager that bangs on your door at 11:00am sharp whether or NOT YOU ARE STAYING MULTIPLE Nights!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!! In winter, 90% of your business is aurora watching! We get home at 3 am!! Leave us the hell alone! Fire this nasty human!

I booked this hotel for the on site kitchen and free breakfast. There was no free breakfast or offer thereof. The checkin was cordial at best and in a nearby building, as advertised. The heated floors were great, however, the rest of the building, accommodations, kitchen amenities are very basic, but all work.

No breakfast. Rooms were very run down. The windows didn't block any cold air. The floor heat was nice in places where it worked, but mostly it didn't work. Didn't matter what the thermostat was set at the temp of the room didn't change. The run was pretty clean, just really old. Everything worked fine.

Absolute worst TV ever. Owners too cheap to buy enough bandwidth to keep ,TV from constantly buffering, no content, etc. I mean, really? We don't stay in hotels for the TV, but when we have downtime we want to be able to watch with a minimum of interruptions/failures. Our last night we ended up using our tablet to watch uninterrupted TV. Also, ever hear of inside stairwells? They are really nice in sub-zero temperatures, especially with luggage or shopping to take to the third floor.

I arrived at 2:00 AM in -20 F, and this wonderful woman met me and walked me over to another building where our room was for the night. The following day we realized that we had left our extension cord for the engine block heater at the location and they found the cord and kept it at the front desk for us when we returned 3 days later. The rental car company would have charged us $100 if we failed to return it with the car!

It's what you get what you paid for. Still would been better if it is maintained fair. For example, the bath sink was clogged and the water from shower head was not enough.

Owner was very welcoming and rooms were very clean. Loved the free breakfasts. Well located. However the pillows were horrible and the room could use a few repairs

Everything was very good except for the internet. It was awful. We had to rely on our cell phone hot spots for access.

I was there for 5 days and cleaning staff did not come up once to clean the trash or replace my towels. The laundry room is there but the machines are disgusting with grime and smells bad. There was only one that I found appearing used by anyone at all. A laundromat on College and University has better machines, prices, and doesn't make you feel yuck!
