The Old Money Hotel is located quite far from both ports, requiring a car or bus ride to reach. While the facilities aren't new, the rooms are large and clean with great views, and dinner is decent. The hotel service is particularly noteworthy. The receptionist communicated fluently in English and proactively offered route planning and luggage transfer assistance, which was a huge help and we were very grateful for.

I stayed here with a friend on a trekking tour of Yakushima. My friend stayed in an ocean view room and I stayed in a mountain view room, but personally I recommend the mountain view room because it has a great view of the majestic mountains of Yakushima.

The bath is excellent, the sulfur spring makes your skin smooth. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and the vegetables were fresh, I was impressed. It's a little far, but it's worth going.

Very old resort hotel style, with nice mountain and sea views, but inconvenient transportation, only the hotel shop can buy things at night, and there are no lights on the road to the Oma Onsen... You can choose the hotel's own hot spring bath. The food is average but the price is not cheap. Next time I will choose a hotel near the port or airport, or a folk custom

I ended up with a sinus infection the day we arrived. After a horrible fever and 24 hours of worrying i would need to end my trip early, i decided to request assistance from the front desk in making an appointment with the local hospital. After not being avle to get a taxi the Vice Manager of the hotel drove me in his personal vehicle and waited 45 minutes when the Dr came out. Amazing service. The hotel was also very clean and food was always incredible.
