River Valley Inn

It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The only area for improvement would be a better paved parking area. I would definitely stay there again.

The room smelled like the air conditioner filter had never been changed. The shower curtain bottom was sopped with water. The carpet was covered in debris. The television didn’t work. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp was missing a bulb. The window blinds were covered in filth. It was really bad.

The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was unexpected since the hotel is advertised as smoke-free. Additionally, both the bathtub and the sink were clogged, making the stay less comfortable than expected.

I was a little nervous booking at a motel with my family but was limited with my own poor planning booking for a lacrosse tournament at UMass. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and ease of everything. We did need to ask for extra sheets for the pullout bc they were not in the room, and even with the owners dealing with a family emergency they were very attentive and we had everything we needed. It was an easy 17 minute drive to UMass and very affordable.

The staff were great. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was also large with a great shower. The back of the hotel was unkept and because of that there were a few bugs in our room. It was a good value for a quick stay just 2 nights. Free wifi and a large TV.

The staff was super friendly and the room was comfortable. The only few recommendations I would make is to have a shampoo holder or a bathroom shelf and a better shower curtain as we felt bad for the water going outside of the shower but overall the day was great and they were very accommodating.

Price was very reasonable. It is a problem that there is most of the time no one in the office. Thus, it is really difficult to address issues, particularly in the evening. The TV went out in the evening, and we decided not to bother anyone. Bed was excellent. Location is quiet. Coffee in the office is great, but it would be better in the room. Suggest installing better clothes hanging capability in room. Overall, good value.

This place was the best! Not fancy but incredible value for the area. Family-operated, lovely staff, very helpful. We will stay here again.

I prefer to support small businesses, so I chose RVInn. It was a good place to stay even if the rooms are smallish 1950s size. But the nice people running the business were great and I recommend this for your stay in the Pioneer Valley.
