River Valley Inn

We enjoyed our stay at the River Valley Inn. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We’re glad we stayed here.

The room we were in was not clean and there was a bad animal odor to begin with however after addressing this issue, our room was cleaned. Overall it was fine but probably wouldn’t stay there again

A little pricey but otherwise no complaints. It was a little last minute and the area is generally very pricey anyways.

This place was a real find. Clean room. Spotless, generous and comfy bedding better than hotel chains (lots of pillows, extra blanket). More than enough towels. We didn't have to request ANYTHING. Walmart and supermarket 5 minutes away. Amherst College and UMass are a little farther away than where we usually stay, but the drive was WAY more convenient and much prettier with less traffic. Smith College about 10 minutes away. Loved it!

Only negative thing was the shower drain. It was a little slow and the water was backed up a bit. But all in all, my stay was great.

What a wonderful establishment. A small family company operated with the charm and welcome of southern hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed the owners. Such wonderful and welcoming people. My daughters and I felt safe and totally catered too. Our room was beautifully clean and well capped. Many new amenities were available, and it was very clear that it had recently been renovated. Anytime we go through the area, we will ensure that we stay at the Inn

Great budget-friendly family-owned hotel! My room was very clean and had clearly been recently renovated - brand new fixtures in the bathroom and new flooring. The bed was comfortable, the linens and pillows were good quality, there was even a microwave (along with a nice large fridge) in the room. The owners just bought the property a year ago and live on the premises; they are super sweet and grew up locally so they have recommendations for restaurants and activities. I would stay here again and would recommend to others.

This property was very nice and cozy, very few amenities, coffee and tea at front desk area however it was appreciated. Only draw back I had was the sheets were a little bit stained and there was only one trash bin in the room and non in the bathroom. I would rebook at this inn in the future, the attendant at the front desk was also very nice.

This husband and wife team really provided wonderful customer service. They called and texted me to ensure I was arriving, and they gave very clear instructions regarding check in and check out. One of the lights stopped working in the room, but it was very late at night to be able to do anything about it. They have an anti-fog option on the mirror. The room is a bit small for a family, though. Fortunately, I'm a solo traveler.
