I was quite worried after seeing many negative reviews beforehand. The cheapest room type I stayed in on the first day was indeed small and stuffy, and the window couldn't be opened. After changing to a larger room that cost 200 RMB more upon returning, it was much better. The large public bath is open until 2 AM; although small, it does the job. Breakfast is free, and given the quality, it offers great value for money. The location is unbeatable, right across from the station. Supermarkets and convenience stores are a bit further away, about a 10-minute walk.

Hotel is just opposite across Abashiri Station. We arrived at 12:25pm in the afternoon, there was a senior staff already waited for us at the ground floor of the Hotel entrance. She was so helpful and brought us to level 1 the hotel reception to care off our luggages. We indeed very grateful as we need to rush off to catch our bus to the Icebreaker cruise. We booked the room with breakfast but unfortunately we did not have time to take our breakfast as we need to rush to catch our train back to Sapporo. It was a pleasant stay in the hotel although the furniture and toilet is old. We have to make cash payment for the room reserved instead of credit card via Trip.com

Great location, right across from Abashiri JR Station. The front desk is on the second floor. The room was also quite clean.

While the R&B Hotel might be a bit basic, the service is excellent. They helped us book a taxi, and the hotel's location right across from the train station is super convenient. The breakfast was also great!
