Stayed at this place for a couple of nights prior to our flight from Venice. Very quiet, large and beautiful territory with all kinds of sport activities. You can have a nice walk any time of day and night - the place feels very safe. It was such a pity that the outdoor pool was open but stone cold. I would love to have a swim. But it was partially compensated by indoor SPA. You need to book it and that`s an extra but the fascility is nice. The room was spacious and quiet. A kettle, mini fridge, hairdrier and everything provided. And breakfasts were amazing! Will definitely be back.

The reception staff are great so welcoming and helpful! The yoga instructor Nick is amazing - morning yoga on the grass by the stream made our time there special. Steve the tennis coach is brilliant recommend a lesson when he’s there. The 50 m lap pool is great only downside is you have to swim when it’s quiet… the pool is very busy during the day with kids playing as there is no separate kids pool. The rooms are dated but the sports side makes up for that. Didn’t get to try the driving range. Would definitely stay again.

We were booked at this resort by Trafalgar tours for 3 nights as part of our 8 day tour. The location and huge property it sits on & surrounding areas were absolutely beautiful. Although the lobby and dining areas were updated and nice, the rooms were HORRIBLE. We were in the main building and thought we were lucky until we went upstairs. OMG, very old and dingy and outdated, & NO window in the room. It had a skylight that if I stood on my toes I could see the tops of some trees. The second night we had no air conditioning. We complained several times and reception just told us they were all full and couldn't do any changes. It was THE worst room I have ever been in. Other people we traveled with, that were in other sections of the property also said their rooms were all very old and outdated. Many of them were up hills and they had to climb many steps. So very disappointed in the accommodations.

Amazing hotel. The staff are so friendly, including the bar staff (Antonio and Pablo were amazing) and the pool bar staff! They made our stay so good. The pool is well lifeguarded and clean, with lanes to swim lengths in although people play ball in them. The rooms have air con/ heating, apartment rooms are pretty basic like no soap but that’s okay because the resort is so nice. Everyone that was there when we were there were friendly and said hi to us when we saw them. The entertainment isn’t the best but it doesn't matter because the bar is a vibe. It wasn’t that noisy at night, and all of the kids gathered to play football on the football pitches which was so lovely and good to make friends, they also did water polo and aqua for kids and adults. The gym did the job, the equipment was quite old but it worked and the man working in the gym always made sure stuff was clean and was super friendly. Reception staff were nice and also the atmosphere at night was so good, we made so many friends and just relaxed!! We had self catered so can’t comment on the food however friends on half board had negative experiences. We definitely will be returning on self catered, the location is amazing with restaurants in walking distance, and a hotel shuttle to Garda for free!! So excited to come back, thank you.

Stayed as a family of 4 half board. The facilities are great if you enjoy activities, as there is plenty to do. Padel, tennis & golf on site (for an extra charge - but cheaper than in the UK to hire a padel court). Always sunbeds available at the pool. The gym is a little dated, but perfectly useable. The actual hotel is great - also a little dated but this did not affect our stay at all. It is kept spotlessly clean, our rooms were cleaned everyday. Air conditioning in the rooms was good. All the food we had in the restaurant was good. You choose from 3 starters & 3 mains the day before for your next evening meal. We found there was something for everyone & there is always bread & a salad buffet as well as sides to go with the meals and a dessert buffet, so even if you are a fussy eater, you shouldn’t go hungry! It actually meant we tried some foods we probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Breakfast had plenty of choice & is buffet style. If you do not want the evening meal you can have lunch in the restaurant or by the pool as an alternative. We did this one day so we could enjoy a meal in the town. Food by the pool bar is very reasonable. The location of the hotel is about a 30 min walk into town. We did this several times & quite enjoyed the walk. We also caught the shuttle a few times & even when busy, we didn’t have to wait very long. Things to note - we like walking but the closest supermarket is about 2km away on the way into town, so if self catering, just something to be aware of if you do not have a car. You can buy supplies in the town & take the shuttle back up. All the staff were friendly & helpful. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & liked being out of the town, with a fabulous view of the lake & all of the facilities at Poiano. Garda town is beautiful & a good base for trips to other towns around the lake & the public bus to Verona.

Cannot fault this place at all! We only booked as a base for hopping around the lake but it exceeded our expectations. We went half board - all meals and drinks were excellent. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Special mention to Carmine, Pablo and Buenaventura for the extra smiles every evening. The Saturday night buffet was incredible! Loved having a drink sat out in the evenings with the view over the lake, waiter service and snacks included. Room clean, pool and facilities great. Food at the pool bar was great too when needed during the day time. Transfer ran regularly into Garda, only issue was getting back later at night but we walked it fine when needed. No complaints at all- we are looking again for next year.

Our transfer took about an hour and a half, including dropping off other holidaymakers. On arrival, we had lunch at the pool bar. Prices were reasonable and the service was very quick considering the time of day. The staff were friendly and understood that we didn't have a room number yet as we'd only just arrived, so we simply paid by card. Our room was ready at 3pm. Our Junior Suite was right at the top of the hills, so reception arranged for their driver to take us and our luggage up. The driver even brought our bags right into the room — brilliant service. One important point: this is definitely not a resort for anyone with significant mobility difficulties. You can easily do 500 steps just getting to the restaurant! Our Junior Suite The Junior Suite was probably the largest room we've ever stayed in. The only slight oddity was having the TV positioned in front of a mirror. Everything else was excellent. We never ran out of toilet paper, coffee or towels, and the kettle was absolutely spotless. The safety deposit box key is obtained from reception with a refundable €25 deposit. The mini fridge was stocked and, to be honest, the prices were very reasonable — €3.50 for a can of soft drink, for example. It appears that Italy itself provides the full-sugar, rather than sugar-free, versions of Coke, Fanta and other drinks as the first choice! The Restaurant The restaurant was happy to take our order in the evening, with three choices available, including a vegetarian option, plus two separate children's choices. The food was superb. Not one disappointment throughout our stay. Beef medallions, smoked pork... our picky teenagers tried everything and ate the lot! NOT A FRIED CHIP IN SIGHT — WOO! The salad bar was amazing, with loads of choice. It was never overly busy and there was plenty of space to move around comfortably. Desserts and fruit salad were also plentiful, with plenty of choice. And whatever you do... DON'T MISS THE GRAND BUFFET — AMAZING! Indoor Pool & Spa The indoor pool is well worth booking, particularly for families wanting a break from the noise of the main pool. It has a really calming atmosphere. The staff were lovely and, just like the rest of the hotel, the area was exceptionally clean. I would have liked to try some of the treatments, but unfortunately we never got around to it. Cleanliness & Service Cleanliness was amazing. Our room was cleaned and our towels changed every day. I genuinely can't understand why people moaned! The staff were fantastic — friendly, helpful and understanding of everything we needed. Again, I can't understand why people moaned! The whole resort is extremely well maintained. All the toilets we used were clean, tables were cleared quickly and everything felt looked after. The views are amazing, there are plenty of areas to sit and relax, and the evening entertainment was lovely to listen to as we made our way back to our room. We had a great holiday here! We stayed in the junior suite right at the top of the hill - so we had amazing views of the lake from our large balcony - but just be prepared for a lot of steps to get to there - however, we often got lifts in the golf buggies which was a lot of fun! The room was large, very clean, lots of wardrobe space, modern bathroom, towels changed every day. We stayed full board - had great tables with lake views in the restaurant. Food was good and dinner menu changed each night. Each night there was different live music entertainment outside after dinner. The staff can't do enough for you - all really friendly and helpful (special shout out to Fabio for the golf buggy lifts and the maitre D for being so charming and welcoming! Pool was olympic sized - daily free water aerobics, water polo and archery which was great. Food round the pool was good and reasonably priced. Only con was the sun loungers are plastic, so a bit uncomfortable. Great base for exploring Garda town, Bardolino town and Verona. All in all, a great place for a family holiday- would definitely recommend.
