We absolutely loved our stay at Villas Alondras as a family of five and would definitely return. We originally stayed in Classic Villa Number 8 and had requested pool heating. Unfortunately, the pool heating broke and, because it was a bank holiday, it couldn’t be fixed as quickly as we would have liked. However, the team dealt with the situation brilliantly and quickly found a solution, moving us to Classic Villa Number 2, which was also a lovely villa. We really appreciated how quickly they sorted everything out for us. One of the things we loved most about staying here was having our own private pool. The privacy it gave us was fantastic, and we loved having the flexibility to dip in and out of the pool whenever we wanted without having to worry about sharing it with anyone else. It really made the villa feel like our own space and was a big part of what made our stay so enjoyable. A special mention has to go to Alberto, who was absolutely fantastic. He was so friendly, helpful and accommodating and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and he was a real credit to Villas Alondras. The breakfast was also great. We noticed they advertise 10–11am as the busiest time, but even as a family of five we always managed to find somewhere to sit. There was plenty of food available and it was constantly replenished, so we never found anything had run out. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, so unfortunately we can’t comment on the other food options. The only downside for us was the location. It’s around a 25-minute walk downhill to the main centre, which was fine going down but the walk back up is quite a trek! We had hoped to use taxis while we were there, but as a family of five we needed two taxis. Reception were more than happy to call them for us, but on two occasions we waited over 45 minutes and the taxis never arrived. We eventually discovered that we could catch a bus down to the main *****, which made things much easier. Because of the one-way system, it drops you at the far end of the main *****, but once we had figured it out, it worked really well for us. Getting a taxi back to the villa was much easier as there are taxi ranks along the *****, although we still needed two taxis each night because of our family size. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Villas Alondras. The villas were lovely, having our own private pool was brilliant, the breakfast was great and the staff were excellent. We were particularly impressed with how they handled the issue with our pool heating and found a solution so quickly. The location was the only thing that wasn’t quite ideal for us, but now that we know how to use the bus to get down to the main *****, it wouldn’t put us off returning. We had a brilliant family holiday and would definitely stay at Villas Alondras again. Highly recommended!
