Hotel Loy Chiang Mai - Adult Only

Extremely satisfied! The check-in experience was great, and the front desk staff were very warm and helpful. The breakfast menu was a bit limited, but it was delicious. I'll definitely choose Loy again next time I'm in Chiang Mai.

The hotel environment is quite nice, overall it's compact and charming, and the staff service is excellent, very enthusiastic! However, the hotel isn't located on a bustling pedestrian street, so if you want to eat or shop, you'll need to call a Grab car. If you like Grab bikes, that would be quite convenient! There's a 7-Eleven nearby and also a currency exchange, so daily necessities are not an issue.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The à la carte breakfast was delicious. The hotel also has its own bar with a great ambiance, and the water quality was good.

A perfect five-star hotel. The room amenities and services, especially the breakfast, were incredibly satisfying. The breakfast was a lavish Michelin-level feast, and there's also a beautiful swimming pool.

I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, which is only available on the first floor. For some reason, it was very damp and had a mysterious, unpleasant smell. I reported it to the hotel staff, and they promptly moved us to another room (the service was excellent, warm, and friendly). It was a bit better after the room change, but still on the humid side. My friend, who was staying in a different room type without a bathtub on the third floor, didn't have this problem and found her room comfortable and beautiful. Overall, it was still quite good, and I would consider staying again, just avoiding the first-floor rooms.

I really hesitated for a long time on how to write this review because the hotel's service was truly excellent. They were so enthusiastic about helping with luggage and everything. I also felt that the cleaning staff did their best, and because of this, I wanted to give them a full five stars. However, the room itself was really not great. The space was relatively small, and perhaps due to the weather, it felt damp and a bit dirty. The Japanese-style design with a low table right next to the bed where you sit on the floor was very inconvenient. And I felt like the tatami mat and the cushions on it were never cleaned; there were even footprints on the cushions, which was quite off-putting. The air conditioning was also uncomfortable. The AC unit kept displaying a message to clean the filter, and I started feeling itchy after being in the room for just a short while. I'd rather sit downstairs than stay in the room. The positives are the service and the breakfast. The breakfast was genuinely good. You could choose two dishes from a variety of options, and it's rare to encounter such an à la carte breakfast. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted good too. The breakfast and service definitely deserve five stars.

The hotel is great, with plenty of restaurants nearby, plus a 7-Eleven. It's a 10-minute walk to Tha Phae Gate and a 15-minute walk to Chiang Mai Gate night market. Nimmanhaemin Road is about a 12-minute scooter ride away.
