Okay so if I’m being honest, I felt the only good thing about our stay here was meeting the elephants for breakfast in the morning. Whih is not something to be overlooked, it was a core memory that I will hold dear for the rest of my life. We booked a riverside room, and the room they gave us was very basic, the water had poor pressure and had a dirty hue to it. There were lots of insects ants that kept finding their way in, even though we kept the doors shut as much as possible. It’s hard because meeting the elephants made the experience worth it. But we only met them in the morning and was told we couldn’t see them at the sanctuary the day we arrived. I think the price for the room, I was expecting a lot more luxury. We only booked this place as Chai Lai Orchid was fully booked. Loved meeting the elephants but next time we will ensure we get a booking at Chai

This was the best choice to make. The staff is lovely and kind, they work so hard to make your stay comfortable. I don’t recommend if you are looking for luxurious/high end. It is far from the city, but it is perfect for those who love the quiet and private mountain lifestyle. This is deep in the jungle and a perfect experience to explore the mountains and to enjoy free range, guilt-free elephant experience. The staff love their elephants and are so good with them. They don’t chain or abuse them to control them. Very unique and relaxing experience  The grounds are very large and lots of space for the elephants. They come to your door for an early morning wake up call and breakfast is served to you after. There are also lots of activities to enjoy with a guide in the area. This is the best place to go to if you are looking for a loving and true experience of Thai life. They will transport you wherever you need to go, but grab what you need from 7/11 before you come, it is a 35 minute drive. This is my new favorite resort. Shoutout to “L” for his kindness and making my solo trip awesome! He filled the loneliness of solo travel with lots of side quests and laughs. This is a hidden gem.

Really beautiful place tucked away in the mountains exactly what we were looking for!! Simple food home cooked delicious and the scenery and staff was excellent booked a daytrip a short distance away was super fun.. wont regret booking here!!!!

The location is fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, the riverside rooms could be significantly improved with a few additional facilities for traveller comfort. Specifically: Mosquito nets for the beds. Provision for clothes storage, such as hangers, shelves, or a rod to hang clothes. The bathroom needs attention. Adding more hooks and shelving would be helpful and separating the wet and dry areas would greatly improve functionality. The food quality and selection could also be better. Suggest: Offering a few menu options for guests, including dedicated vegetarian choices. While breakfast doesn't need to be a large spread, it would be beneficial to provide more variety of fruits (more than just one) and additional options in general. Water- please have water dispensers in place of providing water bottles to guests. We can refill our bottles. Regarding the tours offered by the resort, please inform us clearly regarding the itinerary and when we do what- we ended up literally coming back to our room side for an activity listed in the tour!! Not to mention the village we were taken to felt literally like checking a box, rather than giving us an experience to appreciate and understand. While we really loved the location and seeing the elephants so close, the people being really nice and kind, we feel there is so much that this Gold Elephant Park can offer to make it an exceptionally loved experience.

Everything was excellent. Recommended: the food, the service, the views, the tour, and my sister's attention. L... is the best at that hotel. Thank you... L... you are the best.
