Hotels in Cat Ba Island, Haiphong

We booked a hotel on the day of check-in, confirmed quickly. The only thing I didn't notice that breakfast was not included, it upset us. In general the hotel is comfortable, we spent 2 nights here. The hotel has a cafe, a 17-story bar, a bar near the sea, a children's area, a spa. In the morning I woke up at 6 a.m. and went to the sea bath. From 7 a.m. the pool works. The room we had a view of the bay in 3 hotels. The hotel consists of 3 complexes, of which the restaurant and bar in the second building. The room was spacious and clean. We liked everything.

I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world. This is the first 5-star hotel I have ever seen that does not provide complimentary drinking water at the dinner buffet and instead charges guests for it. I find this unacceptable and very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to Japanese travelers or anyone expecting a true 5-star experience.

Good hotel! Please pay attention to the names: there are at least 3 Flamingos, and while the buildings look the same, the rooms and service levels vary everywhere. I will write a separate review for each. As for this one: great price, clean room with a balcony and a sea view. The pool is nice, and the sea is warm. Check-in and check-out are not fast.

We booked the hotel in advance on Trip.com, and upon arrival, we decided to stay and not go to Ha Long, as there was no point in changing hotels. The price for extending our stay at the reception and on Trip.com turned out to be identical. Pros: location, relatively recently renovated. Cons: cleaning, lazy service, terrible soundproofing, and a damp smell in the hallway.

This homestay has a very unique and novel concept, providing my family with an incredibly interesting experience. The space is designed to be chill and quiet. Everyone here is also very friendly and enthusiastic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Although the homestay is still quite new and there are a few details that need further improvement, overall my family is very satisfied with the experience and will definitely recommend it to friends when they have the chance.

We stayed only one day for personal reasons, although we had booked for a little longer. The owner had the most comprehensive understanding of it and had separated our booking and returned us the money for the remaining days. I find this very lovely and really customer-friendly. We have paid a small amount due to the administrative fees that the renter had to pay in advance because of our change. However, compared to the amount for the additional days, it is not worth mentioning. We are very grateful for this.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The location was also very convenient, close to shops and restaurants. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

We had an amazing stay in this boutique hotel. The hosts were super nice and really treated us the best they could. At first the location seemed a bit away from the center, and without grab we were sceptic how to get to the center. But the hosts were super helpfull and brought us by car and picked us up as well. We even lend 1 scooter for an evening for free! The room was super new and had everything we needed. Good bed, big smart tv (for resting day), great shower, good AC and small balcony. We got homemade Vietnamese breakfast everyday. Even when my girlfriend asked for just fruits they made an amazing platter full. These people were so nice and asked nothing in return. We wanted to pay for the rides but they refused. The hotel is in a super new area and the streets are only accessible for people who need to be there, which makes it very safe as well. Just note that if booking a tour they cannot pick you up in front of the hotel, but just 3 minutes walk away, so no problems.

The hotel is ok nothing special, avoid to take the rooms with Mountain View, because is too much noise from the street, breakfast and dinner 100% Asian style, with few options, the staffs around the swimming pool, they don’t speak English, is too hard when you need to order something…
