Mijia Hotel (Beijing Wangjing 798 Art District)

This is 2nd times for hostel. Good location, close to train station, supermarket, 798 Art district and many food around here. Staff is so kindly. And I’m the steady customer for fried MALA in front of hostel.

This is an ideal place if you love ample public space. There is a wide place at the rooftop whereby there are tables and chairs to sit, relax and chill yourself to enjoy the open sky of Beijing. If it is raining, there is a section with canopy and indoor space. Receptionist are friendly and very considerate over needs of guests. Furthermore, this is a great location to find local food. For me, the only downside: no dryer, hard bed and no elevator. The rest are very satisfactory!

I would not recommend this place. The hostel itself is fine, not too fare from transportation but no kitchen, not even a microwave. The real problem is the room. The mastress is so thin that it is honestly useless and feels like you're sleeping on the ground. I asked for a spare blanket to try make it more confortable, but they refused. Other than that the fact that there is no bathroom, with the toilet and the shower directly in the room with transparent windows ?!?! Btw the is no hook or anywhere to hang you stuff in the shower so you kinda have to go around the room naked or have your clothes soaking wet. Final touch with the toilet, a sign asking to put the toilet paper in the bin cause the toilet is "easily clogged", I let you imagine the smell inside this small toilet at the end of the day with all this durty paper right next to you. Few positive point : lots of storage, a curtain for each bed.

Clean and cozy room, the bathroom is separate however doors are transparent 😅 Easy to reach by bus, no metro nearby

Good location, close to metro or bus, shops everywhere, laundry option, extra gym. All good just the beds are super hard as the mattress is not quite fat enough and toilet has a matt glassdoor which is not so comfortable.

Their staff is the kindest, the gym is great too! I'd stay here again.

Receptionist don't speak English. Only use translator and don't have more information to give to tourists. It's a very local hostel, so it was an interesting experience. But smelly toilet in the room and carefully, if you don't leave something on your bed, they think you are not there...
