On the day we arrived, the front desk allowed us to check in early, which we appreciated and thought the hotel was being understanding. Everyone in our group was in good spirits. However, when we tried to open our room door, only one of the three key cards worked, and the front desk hadn't mentioned this. We didn't make a fuss about this minor issue. Upon entering the room, it was clear that the two large beds hadn't been made; the duvets were pulled back, messily bunched on the sheets, which had a distinct stain. The pillows were still flattened. Considering we had checked in early, we thought the beds might not have been cleaned yet. So, very politely, we thanked the front desk for letting us check in and asked if they could change the sheets and duvets. The front desk insisted on photo proof, which we cooperated with. We went back upstairs to photograph the messy beds and finally received confirmation from the front desk. After finishing our first day of sightseeing, it was already very late. We saw that the beds had been made and naturally assumed all the bedding was clean. There were no toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, or combs in the room. We couldn't get through to housekeeping, so we had to go downstairs twice (once for toothbrushes and toothpaste, and once for slippers). We had booked for three people and there were clearly three of us when we checked in, but there were only two bottles of mineral water in the room, so we had to ask for more. Before going to sleep, I vaguely noticed a small shadow on the duvet, but after turning off the lights, I couldn't distinguish what it was, so I didn't pay much attention. The next morning, when I turned on the lights, I was completely horrified: there were several spotty bloodstains on the inside of the duvet. The thought that this area was right next to my face and neck, and that I had slept in something like this all night, made me feel utterly disgusted. And this was after we had requested clean bedding! Clearly, this duvet hadn't been cleaned either. So we went downstairs with the photos and videos we had taken to report the issue to the front desk, expressing how uncomfortable and nauseated it made us feel, and how unprofessional it was for a hotel under the Hilton name to have such questionable hygiene. The front desk staff, however, said his supervisor wasn't working on the weekend and therefore couldn't speak with us. After I insisted, he asked me to leave my email address, stating that a supervisor would contact me on a weekday. The only compensation he offered was a $20 breakfast voucher per person, claiming that was the most he could do. At the time, for some reason, he was the only staff member at the front desk, and another guest was in a hurry to check out and get to the airport. We didn't want to make things harder for the employee, so we just accepted the breakfast vouchers to avoid further hassle. All of this left us feeling extremely upset; we never expected something like this to happen during our trip to Washington. Soon after, I received an automated text message from the hotel asking about our stay, and I honestly rated it a 1 star. They asked when it would be convenient for them to call, and I said I was available that day, but they never called. They only reconfirmed my email address, and to this day, I haven't received any emails from them. Upon returning to the hotel that evening, we were already experiencing PTSD. Before going back to our room, we again told the front desk (a different staff member this time) to send someone to check if our room had been properly cleaned. He promised to send someone up, but that 'someone' never showed up by the time we checked out. It was only after we returned to our room that we noticed a key card sleeve on the nightstand. We realized this must have been left by the previous guest because we had only been given one key card sleeve when we checked in, and I had it with me. It then dawned on us: after the previous guest checked out, our room was never fully cleaned before we were allowed to check in, so even the previous guest's trash hadn't been removed 🙏 At this point, we had completely lost the energy to contend with the hotel. We were checking out first thing the next morning anyway. From beginning to end, we saw no regard from the hotel for its customers. We weren't looking for a huge payout; we just wanted to see some accountability from the hotel. Forget compensation, refunds, or even a symbolic discount or room upgrade – we didn't even get a formal apology. The hotel manager apparently couldn't be bothered because it was the weekend, the staff brushed us off with breakfast vouchers, they asked when it was convenient to call but never did, they promised to send someone to check but never followed through, and something as simple as changing bedding required asking three or four times... Worst hotel experience ever, no contest. I usually give five stars by default; this is the first time I've written such a long review, dedicated to Tempo by Hilton 😇😇😇

Great location, close to all the White House attractions, and right across from the subway entrance. The decor is simple, stylish, and grand. We had a double room, and each bed was huge, I think 1.8 meters, very comfortable. The room also had a kettle, and there was a water dispenser in the hallway. Excellent experience!

The room was spacious and comfortable. Even though it was right by the elevator, it wasn't noisy. Downstairs, there were plenty of breakfast shops and other amenities, and it was also very close to the White House. I really liked it. The room key was made of wood, which was a nice, delicate touch.

The room was very spacious, and all the facilities were new and spotlessly clean. The large bed was comfortable and on the softer side. The surrounding area was nice and quiet, and the soundproofing was excellent; even though it was by the road, I could barely hear any noise. It's very close to the White House, just a few minutes' walk, so safety is absolutely not an issue. Transportation is also very convenient, with a subway station right across from the hotel. It's only a few stops from the airport, taking about twenty minutes. The service, however, felt mediocre. I got the impression they looked down on Asian guests.

The room was clean, tidy, and quite spacious. There's a water dispenser in the hallway. The laundry room is on level C, and it costs 8 yuan for a wash and dry cycle. The room I booked didn't include breakfast, but there's a restaurant on the first floor where you can order à la carte. It's a business-oriented hotel with an excellent location, very close to the subway station and the White House.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and spoke to us so gently. When we asked for makeup remover wipes, she brought them to our room immediately! The room itself was spacious and tidy, and the mirror with Bluetooth connectivity was super convenient. The AC was already on when we entered, making the room perfectly cool. At night, the bed was so comfortable we fell asleep instantly and slept soundly until morning. It felt like the best bed in all of Washington! The room price and value for money were absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Washington!

The room was really spacious, and the surrounding area was very quiet. It's super close to the White House, so you don't have to worry about safety. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't provide bottled water. I hope they can improve that!
