Green Mango Bungalows

I recently stayed at Kampot Green Mango Bungalow for two nights and it was truly a memorable experience. The bungalows are located about 7 km from the center of Kampot, with a taxi or tuk-tuk ride to town costing around 12,000–14,000 riel. What really sets this place apart is the staff — especially the owners. They are simply incredible: tireless, generous, and welcoming beyond words. The care and attention they put into their service made our stay feel personal and truly special. The accommodation itself is comfortable and peaceful, providing a relaxing environment after a day exploring Kampot. The bungalow I stayed in is supposedly the most expensive and “premium” option they offer. While it is spacious, the cleanliness could be improved: there was noticeable dust, cobwebs on headboards and bedside tables, and spiders in the bathroom and on the ceiling. This is the only negative aspect, and it’s worth noting that better cleaning would make the experience fully match the premium price. Overall, despite this small issue, my stay was wonderful. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a friendly, homey stay, Kampot Green Mango Bungalow is highly recommended — especially because of the owners’ warmth and dedication

About location: it’s beautiful. Quiet and peaceful place far from town. You can swim in the salty river. Taking a tuktuk to town is just a few dollars and about 15 minutes. The ride is nice but maybe tiring to do often. About food: The dinner menu is excellent. The cook is really good and the prices are totally reasonable for the quality. Breakfast options are not as good and I would say overpriced. I recommend eating breakfast in town. Also, there is only instant coffee so I suggest to try some amazing Cambodian coffee elsewhere. About the room: I booked the economy room and it definitely was basic. No hot water! No hair dryer! The worst part for me is the bed has fitted sheet only and a fuzzy blanket. No top sheet. Also the fitted sheet is cheap material worn out with piling and stains. The fuzzy blanket material is also not nice on the skin for sleeping. Plus the dark colour makes me feel it’s unclean. The pillows also not good!

Absolutely amazing place, great location with great views, the staff go above and beyond for you and everyone are so nice and helpful. We will be returning at some point

Kampot is a wonderful place to visit. With that said, I was lucky enough to stay in the most awesome location. I would recommend Green Mango Bungalows to anyone who visits Kampot. It's a beautiful place to stay, Kevin is a fantastic host. He's really sociable and great to chat to. I really enjoyed having some food and a few drinks here. The conversations we had were really fun, informative and helpful. Kevin's wife is native to the country and also is very kind and an incredible cook! I was blown away by the food, it was so good! 10/10. Everything about this place is special, made so by the location, the cool bungalow rooms (mine was the old kitchen!), the decking and cool bar, the hosts and the awesome view!) Definitely visiting here again in the future. Highly recommended!
