Bucksport Inn

We were very pleased with our stay at the Bucksport Inn. When we pulled up we could tell by the outside appearance that the owners really cared about attention to detail. Our room did not disappoint us in any way. It was clean, comfortable and very usable. The motel layout made transfer of luggage in and out very convenient. The price was very competitive and the location was great between Bar Harbor and the port towns.

We chose Bucksport Inn because it is pet friendly, and we have 2 Corgis. The pet friendly rooms are around back, and that made it feel safer for our pets. Our room had a small refrigerator/freezer, and the room appeared clean, but I spilled some water near the back of the room and when I wiped the water up from the tile floor with a spare white washcloth, the washcloth was truly filthy dirty! My feet got dirty by just walking around the room, so I grabbed extra bath towels and used them as a rug. The back area of the inn has a large grassy area with chairs and (if it's not too dry) firepits and firewood to use. They also have picnic tables, 2 gas grills to use for a cookout, cornhole, and a lovely large gazebo. I told the front desk about the filthy dirty floor, so hopefully when we stay there again it will be clean....

This is second visit for me. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Grounds are kept very nice and even though we're on a main street it is quiet. Located near bar harbor and Arcadia national Park, easy day trip. Prices are reasonable as well.

What a wonderful place! Large clean rooms with everything you need, including being able to park your car right outside of your door. Truly a home away from home especially with the grills, picnic tables, lawn games and firepit in the field outback. A very warm welcome from the staff member started off our visit. There is a Dunkin' Donuts right next door and a grocery store down the road. Note: Check-in by 9:00 pm is recommended.

This Inn was far more than I would have ever expected. Very clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable, the little refrigerator was just adorable. The staff was super nice. I would recommend this Inn to others for sure.... One nice thing for coffee drinkers is there is a Dunkin Donuts at the end of the driveway.

Good location on Rte 1. Helpful staff, extremely clean room, which is everything! Very well kept with gorgeous huge petunias all over. Fire pits out back. It has it all. I will stay there again when in the area. Centrally located is such a plus. Thank you.

We were looking for a place to stay on our visit to Acadia. It was about a 40 minute drive to the entrance to Acadia from here. With that 40 minutes, we saved hundreds of dollars on our two night stay. We are from the Midwest and local "inns" and "motels" are not the norm around us, so they always make us a bit nervous, but this place was fabulous. Very clean, very roomy, and the staff was excellent. There are a couple of local restaurants a few blocks down by the bay, as well as some fast food and a grocery across the street. If you don't mind not being right in BarHarbor, this is the place for you!!

We've stayed here a few times, as a couple and now with our young kids, and we've never been disappointed. Believe the reviews--the rooms and bathrooms are very clean! The refrigerator, freezer and microwave were very convenient. The staff are pleasant and helpful. We were there during a heatwave, and the air-conditioning kept up fine! I appreciated that the two beds in our room had different levels of firmness, so everyone was able to get comfortable. The location is awesome--close to Bangor, Ellsworth, and the drive to Acadia isn't bad at all. And Bucksport itself is a lovely place to check out! Well definitely be back!
