Hostal Caminito del Rey

Beds are comfortable and kitchen is complete. However the fifth personnran out of hot water while bathing. Parking was at the road side. Two rooms apartment has staircase so not suitable if you have heavy luggages or has mobility issue. The doors of the bedrooms were autolocked when closed with keys inside the room but hotel phone line was contactable and helpful. Spare keys to bedrooms are kn kitchen cabinet if accidentally locked out

Positives. The apartment was well equipped (kitchen and bathrooms) and clean. There was parking available right outside and the check in instructions were clear and straightforward. There were ample heating and cooling options. Negatives There was no ability to access the balcony, which was advertised in the pictures and would have been a nice social space as there was no lounge area inside. The pillows were very uncomfortable and hindered a decent night's sleep. The lack of power points near the beds meant the bedside lamps didn't work and also not ideal for charging devices etc. The worst element for us was the building noise next door. While I appreciate this was not the fault of the Hostal, the apartment was uninhabitable from 8.30am for the majority of the day and some advanced notice (clearly the works had been going on a while) would have been appreciated as we could have made other plans.

This place offers amazing value for money, although on a steep road we easily found parking on the road, the Hostal communicating with us was excellent. Entry to the hostel was simple. I’m not sure what makes this a hostel rather than a hotel other than there’s no reception. The room was very clean, very large and very comfortable. So cheap

Check inn instructions are perfect. easy to understand. Really clean room and bathroom. If we went to Caminito again, we stay here again for sure!
