Ella Green Cottages

The hotel is 200 meters from the railway, which you can walk along to a waterfall and a nine-arch bridge, enjoying stunning mountain views. The balcony overlooks the jungle, and you can watch monkeys hopping through the trees. My room was dirty, renovated in the 19th century. The hotel owner is friendly and welcoming. But he's building another house, so there's construction right outside, noise, and drilling from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

An okay hotel if you're planning on staying for a couple of days. The room didn't have shower amenities or air conditioning, and renovations were underway around the room. We didn't hear any noise, but it doesn't look very nice. There's no parking, and the bike bell broke during the night. The furniture isn't very new. It's best to book something in Ella in advance for the summer, or go elsewhere; it's incredibly crowded.

B&B standard. Pillows smell. Hot water is not hot.

Pretty okay, quite green (but limited view) and reasonable room. A bit tightly packed. Owner friendly and does his best. Indeed, quite close to the center.
