We found BED BUGS! The hotel staff did change our room, but we got bit by bed bugs. Beyond that, it's hard to be neutral about the disappoints we experienced, the carpet on floor four hallway is a worn, the toilet made odd sounds after flushing, and there is a sewage smell that occasionally wafts in the air. Honestly, even though the hot tub was drained, the beach access was blocked, they would have received a decent review, but I can't get past being in a room that had bed bugs.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. While it’s beginning to show a bit of its age, it still offers excellent value and a memorable experience. The kids had an amazing time enjoying the beach, pools, waterslide, water polo, and a variety of other amenities. There are also plenty of nearby activities like boating, water sports, and golf. One disappointment was that the hot tub—my personal favorite—was closed during our stay. We’ve stayed at both the Hilton and the Westin at Lake Las Vegas. The Hilton feels a bit more upscale, but the Westin offers more fun. The Lake Las Vegas area itself is absolutely gorgeous, though it’s quite a distance from the main Las Vegas *****. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic escape—perfect for families or couples—this is a great choice. Just be ready for a bit of a drive for door and dining runs and if you’re planning to explore beyond the lake.
