Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto

This is the smallest Four Seasons I've ever stayed at in terms of public areas, but it's still significantly larger than Capella or Six Senses. It seems there's no need to stay in a luxury hotel in Japan. The room cleaning service was very good. I have two complaints: first, someone knocked on the door at 9 AM asking if I needed housekeeping. It felt a bit intrusive, as I wasn't even out of bed yet. Second, the staff seemed overly obsequious towards Western and Japanese guests, but gave Chinese guests a forced, insincere smile, as if thinking, 'I'm very unhappy to serve you.' Oh well, it doesn't matter, I won't be bringing my family to stay here again anyway.

Relaxed and comfortable 😌

The environment is great, especially the outdoor area, which is absolutely stunning. The service was also excellent; the hotel owner is from Shanghai and even walked us to our car when we left, making us feel truly at home. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kyoto; it was so comfortable. The room isn't huge, but considering space is at a premium in Japan, it was still a very decent size.

Absolutely loved it! The hotel restaurant was incredibly delicious, and the location was fantastic, making it super convenient to get to all the famous attractions. The hotel staff were very attentive, making us feel right at home.

The housekeeping staff were quite snobbish and unpleasant! Also, they really need to improve their attitude towards local guests!
