Rarin Villas

Stayed for five days, let's start with the positives: First, the overall environment and design are great. For this price, such a design is quite friendly to the wallet. Second, the service is excellent; the butler was responsive to all requests. Third, the food quality is good; we ordered room service three evenings, and the quality was consistently high. Now for areas that could be improved: First, some facilities are a bit old. Second, upon check-in, the bathroom had an odor – not from a lack of cleaning, but it took two hours with an air purifier to get rid of it. Third, there's some light leakage around the edges of the curtains, they could be more flush with the wall. Overall, it's a great hotel and worth revisiting.

Booked a two-bedroom suite, which was very spacious with three bathrooms. The room was cleaned two or three times a day, and there was an unlimited supply of snacks and drinks. It also featured a waterfall view, a pool, and a hot spring. The staff's service was particularly outstanding – discreet yet incredibly attentive. Snacks were refilled, breakfast laid out, and the room tidied up almost magically without us noticing. The hotel's location is also excellent, surrounded by many fancy restaurants. A few minutes' walk across the bridge takes you to the Old City. Taxis to Central, Coconut Market, or Bamboo Market are all very close by. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chiang Mai.

The overall environment inside the hotel is quite good, and the service attitude is excellent. The gym is of very high quality! I stayed for five nights in total, and for the last two mornings, they upgraded the restaurant's à la carte menu, which was fantastic. The drinks and ice cream in the mini-fridge were also very good and replenished daily for free. The only minor drawback is that the hot water in the master bedroom's bathtub occasionally malfunctioned. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Even though I had seen pictures beforehand, I was still pleasantly surprised when I actually checked in, and my family was even more delighted. Everything from the facilities to the service was impeccable. The amenities were well-designed, and the service was attentive. I completely disagree with the comments saying breakfast wasn't good; it was actually quite enjoyable. For dinner, you could even order from the hotel's restaurant and have it delivered to your room, with staff setting everything up for you. The spa was also quite good, and the airport shuttle service was very comfortable. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. If my whole family comes together again, we will definitely stay here and recommend it to our friends. The only drawback might be that it's a bit far from the bustling city center, without the same rich entertainment options as Nimman Road, but it's perfect for those seeking a relaxing, 'lie-flat' style vacation.

The service was incredibly thoughtful and prompt. The room was clean, and we even received complimentary fruit and ice cream. Breakfast was extensive, and the soundproofing was excellent, leading to a fantastic night's sleep. Everyone loved it.

So satisfied, this is definitely the place to stay! The pool and hot springs were so enjoyable that we didn't even want to leave the hotel. I absolutely loved the touchscreen TV in the large living room. We could cast the World Cup from both the living room and bedroom TVs. The fridge was well-stocked with drinks, ice cream, and lots of fruit. The only minor drawback was that while breakfast offered a good variety, the taste was just average.

The environment here is fantastic, offering a more private, resort-like feel compared to Anantara, which I stayed at before. You can't hear the noise from the old city night market here (you can hear it, and it's very loud, at Anantara). However, there are gecko noises, which can be quite disruptive. Both the service and environment are excellent, but the breakfast is absolutely terrible. Everything was incredibly unappetizing. It's the first time I've ever had Thai food this bad. We stayed two nights and tried every breakfast item, and every single one was awful.

Facilities: The pool is perfect for families, a great way for kids to burn off energy. Both breakfast and room service meals were of excellent quality. Upon check-in, we received complimentary desserts, fresh fruit daily in the room, and all the drinks, snacks, and nuts in the mini-fridge were free of charge. The room even had building blocks and a swimming ring for children. Besides the pool, our private courtyard also featured a waterfall and a small hot spring. Cleanliness: Very good. Our two-bedroom villa was cleaned meticulously every day. Facilities: Our villa was conveniently located directly opposite the gym, though the equipment selection was a bit limited. I must really commend the restaurant. While we didn't dine in, we ordered room service for dinner because the dining area in our room was quite spacious, and the food was truly excellent and delicious. Environment: For travel with children, hotels are definitely more comfortable and convenient than B&Bs. We stayed 2 nights at Marriott and 3 nights at Rarin Villa. The Marriott's location is excellent, with a night market right downstairs. Rarin's location is a bit more secluded; the nearest convenience store is over 800 meters away. However, Rarin excels in the privacy of its villas. Since we used Grab for getting around, the slightly remote location didn't feel inconvenient at all. Service: The high ratings are truly well-deserved, I couldn't find any fault. Almost all our requests were met promptly and discreetly. There was never an instance where housekeeping disturbed our children's rest. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chiang Mai.

Great service, and everything else was good except for the location.
