Holiday Inn Express & Suites WHITE RIVER JUNCTION by IHG

Decent hotel near Dartmouth. Couple of restaurants nearby and hiking trails.

The experience at the Holiday Inn on April 11th was the worst. As soon as we checked in and entered the room, it was as hot as if we had stepped into a sauna. The room temperature gauge showed 82 degrees, and despite our attempts to lower it, the room kept getting hotter, making it difficult to even breathe. Unable to bear it any longer, I called the front desk, only to be told that the heating system was broken and they couldn't adjust the room temperature. If the hotel's most important facility, the HVAC system, was broken, it is the duty of the front desk to inform guests upon check-in. However, nobody informed us of such, and the room was unbearably hot, making it impossible to stay. We spent the night with windows open, wearing t-shirts, unable to get any sleep. By morning, all three of us in the family had high fevers, swollen throats, and found it difficult to swallow. If such a critical HVAC system failure occurred in the hotel, they should have informed guests first upon check-in and asked whether they still wanted to proceed with their stay. I am very angry and disappointed, and I strongly desire to receive credit for this matter.

We stayed 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend. There central ac wasn't working or the elevator. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate the guests. There were ac window units but in all rooms and oscillating fans which made the rooms more than comfortable. They asked us what floor we would prefer due to no elevator. We chose the 4th (top) as we do not mind the stairs and prefer to use them anyway. Our room was a king with a nice kitchenette. Very clean and having the refrigerator and microwave was nice. Breakfast was good even though they had to scale down due to the mechanical issues. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again. :)

I always find my stays at Holiday Inns to be enjoyable. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. Room was large and comfortable. Conveniently located.

very clean, room was comfortable and updated, great amenities. Had trouble with the WIFI and the coffee was horrible but other than that it was a great spot

Good breakfast, comfortable beds, some areas a bit dated but it was clean and a good place to stay.
