I am extremely disappointed with my stay at the Courtyard Marriott Fayetteville. I specifically booked a room with a king bed and was given a room with two queen beds instead. While this may have been related to our request for a handicap accessible room, no one informed us at check in that our room type had been changed. Finding out after getting to the room was frustrating and felt like a bait and switch. The biggest issue was the hotel’s claim of being handicap accessible. My husband is a disabled veteran, a left leg amputee, and was recovering from recent knee surgery on his remaining leg. Other than a wheelchair height peephole and a few grab bars in the shower, there was very little about the room that was actually accessible. There was no realistic way for him to safely get into or use the shower. We also struggled throughout the property with heavy doors and accessibility barriers that should not exist in a hotel advertising accessible accommodations. The refrigerator in the room was another disappointment. It did not work properly and did not even have a small freezer compartment. My husband relies on ice packs during his recovery, and we had no way to keep them frozen. To make matters worse, the beds were some of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. They were so hard that it felt like sleeping on the ground. Both of us woke up with back pain and stiffness after a single night. The only positive things I can say are that the hotel was clean and the front desk staff were pleasant during check in. For a Marriott property, I expected much better. The lack of true accessibility, the room change without notice, the nonfunctional refrigerator, and the uncomfortable beds made for a very poor experience. I would not stay here again, especially if accessibility is important to you.

The experience was fantastic. All staff was friendly and courteous. Tara managed the breakfast, and the food was excellent. Will definitely come back when back in town.

The property is very convenient to the highway and shopping area. The property is under renovations and I wasn't aware of. The handicap access closes to my room was blocked by a huge container, not convient. The pool opens at 10am and closes at 8pm. The staff knowingly put me in a room that the room phone didn't work and the Cartoon network channel volume didnt work. The house keeper knocked on my door and since I didn't respond she entered at 9:24a.m. The next day I let management know and ALL they offered was an apology. My $179.00 plus 2 hours and 30min drive from Charlotte was WASTED on this hotel and I would not recommend this establishment to my worst enemy.

This hotel is by far my worst Marriott experience ever. The day I arrived, over 20 people were sitting in the lobby playing bingo. No one was at the desk, so I was thinking that the hotel was hosting a senior’s bingo game day or something. Everyone was just looking at me as I stood at the desk for about five minutes waiting for an agent to come out the office to assist me. Come to find out, everyone playing bingo actually worked there!!! Not one of them felt the sense of urgency to assist me. That was my omen, right there!!! My room key resets each of the two days I’ve been here and it is a hike from my room to the lobby. I expect it to fail again tomorrow. The final straw is that now it is 10:33 pm at night and the freaking fire alarm on my floor has been blaring for over an hour now. Seriously. I’m writing this bad review while I lay in bed in this horrible hotel. I’m a longtime faithful Marriott customer and I highly recommend that you avoid this place by any means necessary.

This hotel is an example of a Courtyard that has not aged well. We stayed one night on our way from the north to Florida and it was disappointing. The general condition of the room was clean but worn. We had a problem controlling the HVAC as it would automatically alternate between heat and AC for no reason. The breakfast staff was somewhere between “not helpful” and “rude”. The food options for breakfast were limited, for example they did not have oatmeal. They were even out of lids for the coffee.
