Starfish Hostel

Truly dreadful, like a prison cell and worse. There's no staff anywhere, you check in like Airbnb and you choke on the sewage stench, my room had no windows despite being called City View. I complained to Trip and Trip negotiated an upgrade, for extra money to a room with a window, the view then was onto the street,ok . But the sewage stench in the bathroom meant I had to sleep with a mask on. Do not , EVER, book that dump. Spend another 10 bucks and book the Silka Seaview Hotel, not far away, and a very good place to stay. I'm in HK once a month and stay in different places, The **** hole that is Starfish hostel is akin to Chungking Mansions in the 1980's, don't book it unless you enjoy a filthy cage room, they have 8 rooms , 3 have windows to the street. Vomit 🤢🤢🤢

Great, and very central location; relatively quiet, but small room - which is normal in HK though. I would recommend especially for solo travelers! :)

Enough space for one person. Good location. Easy to find.

This was a great location, right next to Tsim Tsha Tsui MRT exit B2 and the bus from the Airport. It was self check-in, and it’s pretty straight forward once you receive the codes and instructions from the owner. It was quiet for the most part except for a few vehicle horns when congested, but overall considering prices in HK, this wasn’t bad for a few nights stay, and if you have activities all day. The cleaning lady was super nice when I was checking out!

The room was so small that I didn’t have space to keep my bah open but for what I paid for the night was not that much for Hong Kong. The hotel has a good location close to Nathan Road.
