Location and Atmosphere: The hotel is set in a picturesque mountain town, offering a quiet and peaceful retreat. It is reminiscent of 'Spirited Away' with its historic architecture and iconic red bridge, providing a unique and enchanting atmosphere.

I stay at the new building, my room is one of the biggest in the hotel , almost 1000 sq.ft . Design of the room is very nice , private onsen . Couldn’t ask for more . Dinner and breakfast was also one of the best in Japanese onsen hotel . Will definitely come back .

The food and the hot springs were both great and I really enjoyed it. It's a hot spring inn I'd like to visit again.

Although it is an old hot spring hotel, I don't think it's worth the price. There is a small street around it, which is not recommended. Maybe I personally like the hustle and bustle. When I went to the room, there was no staff to help with the luggage.

I came here to explore Spirited Away and it was really amazing. Both the hot springs and Red Bridge are amazing and worth checking in!

Still standing tall with a charm that will simply WOW anyone. It's serenity is a great place for a good relaxation and to be pampered with great food by the chef. We booked a room that had tatami and normal beds with a private onsen. It was truly an experience which one must try to fully immerse in it to feel it. Great getaway from the hustle and bustle or a romantic getaway.

Lovely hotel in a quiet little town. We stayed at the Sanso building, in the Corner Room Japanese Western Special Room (Moegiichi). The room was impeccable, with a private bath, a king sized bad, a deck and a small garden framed by pine and maple trees. Everyone was unfailingly polite, as per Japanese standards. If you have more than 2 in the room, the futon gets laid out while you are away at dinner. Top stars to the futon, they use high quality Tempur mattresses that are so wonderful to sleep on. Food was lovely and painstakingly plated. If you are a Miyazaki fan, it’s easy to see inspirations dotted around the hotel and the town. I came in December and many shops in town were not open, they looked shuttered for good. There are a few food options but not extensive. A few parts of the hotel were dated; mainly the red carpets linking the various buildings. They looked like a deep cleaning or a change was in order.

•When I arrived, I asked for one bowl of myoga rice with plain rice, but they forgot •There were times when they got stuck explaining the menu •They said please help yourself even though I hadn't explained it •I asked for two bottles of water, but they only gave me one •They didn't notice when the water was gone, and they wouldn't give me a refill unless I asked •They took away my drink while I was still drinking •They almost took away my plain rice while I was still eating •They asked when they would serve the sashimi and steak, so I asked for them to be served at the same time as the fish dishes →They said the steak was already cooked and could be served, but it had already been placed on the table next to me (for some reason, it was at the same time as the lotus root buns) •They brought the cake and turned back before the dessert plate was taken away •They had asked the person whose birthday it was to sign the receipt, but it was different from the client who had given the gift •They wrote the wrong name of the alcohol on the receipt •I ate the cake in my room →They asked me to let them know when I was leaving, so I did →When I opened the cake in my room, there was candle wax on the cake and fruit
