The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou

No frills, just beautiful scenery at every turn, adorned with pink or purple flowers. There's no revolving door, but someone always opens the door for you when you come and go. There are always staff guiding you to the elevator, and someone to help with your luggage, open car doors, and handle bags. The pool has three lifeguards, and drinks and water are complimentary. Towels are UV-sterilized and handed directly to you. In the evenings, turndown service is completed, and breakfast tags are neatly placed. You'll never see anyone walking around in slippers because the guest room notice prohibits it in public areas. Everything is service-oriented. Next time, I'll still choose The Ritz-Carlton. It's well worth the money. A good brand hotel should absolutely avoid becoming a family resort; it ruins everything! However, the soundproofing of the room door is lacking, and the noise from guests entering and exiting the adjacent room in the morning can be quite loud.

The soundproofing in the room wasn't great; I could hear people singing late at night. Also, the shower water pressure was really low, and the water came out very slowly. Everything else was excellent, though – the service was great and very thoughtful, and the breakfast had a good variety.

Booked this for my 80-year-old mother and her aunt, and they were very unhappy with the room facilities. At night, there was no way to turn on just a night light; it was either all off or all on. Even after staff came to the room, they couldn't fix it. They bothered with it for over two hours, but to no avail! This went on until midnight. My mother and her aunt didn't sleep well the whole night. The towel rack in the bathroom was placed outside the sink, right at stomach height when washing hands. My mother said she couldn't even wash her hands properly! Thumbs down!

Pros: The view is indeed great, and all services meet Ritz-Carlton standards – very professional and consistent. There are no obvious flaws at first glance. First drawback: The bathroom area. After a shower, the entire room heats up like a sauna. There's no exhaust fan, and the window can't be opened (which I understand, for guest safety in high-rise buildings). Shouldn't the hotel find a way to address this issue? Second drawback: As shown in picture one, the two towel racks are installed directly opposite the sinks on the vanity. Every time I wash up, my midsection constantly bumps against a metal bar. Doesn't the hotel think this placement is highly impractical and uncomfortable? It completely lacks comfort and convenience, and even causes discomfort for guests during their daily routines. Such small design details really negatively impact the first impression.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, very close to Canton Tower. The breakfast has a distinct Guangzhou flavor, but it gets incredibly crowded. Also, the hotel was repainting in the morning, and service response was very slow.

The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou boasts excellent facilities and is impeccably clean. The breakfast is fantastic, and the hotel's location is very convenient. The rooms are comfortable, making it a great choice for both business travelers and families on vacation. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Guangzhou!

The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou offered a perfect experience! Located in the heart of Zhujiang New Town, it's super convenient for getting around and shopping. The high-floor panoramic windows provide an unbeatable view, with the Pearl River and Canton Tower night scenery completely visible. The room facilities are exquisite and complete, and the bedding and bathroom amenities are top-notch, maximizing comfort. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service; the concierge and front desk were responsive and meticulously helpful throughout. Highly recommended for both business trips and leisure stays.
