I had a very pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Melaka. The bed was really comfortable, and I appreciated having the choice of soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was also a highlight, with a nice spacious layout and a bathtub.
One thing that really stood out for me as an EV owner was the charging facilities. There are four EV charging bays at the basement parking and another two near the hotel lobby. There is also plenty of covered parking, which is very convenient.
Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of food. The location is another plus, as the hotel is close to the city centre and makes getting around Melaka easy.
The staff were polite and welcoming. We arrived quite late, and I really appreciated the complimentary room upgrade. It was a very nice gesture after a long journey.
There are a couple of areas that could be improved. The toiletries were rather basic, and the toothbrush provided was quite rough. I also felt that the use of beech-coloured wood throughout the room made the décor look a little dated.
Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and excellent EV charging options. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider coming back again.
