Yangshuo Riverside Resort Hotel

Here is an objective review: The hotel boasts a great location with a large parking lot. There are nearby e-bike rental shops that offer delivery and pick-up services right at the hotel, which is very convenient. Situated right next to the Yulong River, it's quite relaxing to sit at the Ancient Ferry Bar enjoying some desserts and afternoon tea while watching the little bamboo rafts glide by. The breakfast is fairly abundant, and the set dinner we ordered was also quite delicious. Now for the downsides: The soundproofing is a bit poor. Of course, this partly depends on the consideration of other guests, but the building structure itself also plays a part. We stayed for two consecutive nights. On the first night, someone upstairs was dragging chairs around at 1 AM, making loud thumping noises that seriously disrupted our sleep, so we called the front desk. The second night was very quiet, though.

The hotel is very clean with spacious rooms, offering a wonderful living environment with fresh air and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle! Right outside the hotel is the Yulong River, where you can watch bamboo rafts go by—so relaxing! The breakfast features a delicious and rich combination of Chinese and Western options!

This hotel has an incredible vacation vibe. We booked the Panoramic Deluxe Room, and as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see bamboo rafts gliding along the Yulong River—super chill. The public areas are spacious and beautiful, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The hotel is very close to Gongnong Bridge, making it super convenient to head back after a bamboo raft ride. The bed and pillows in the room were also very comfortable. Although the room isn't brand new, it is well-maintained. The breakfast was good too. The front desk staff were highly efficient in responding to and resolving issues. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was friendly and greeted us warmly. While the hotel doesn't rent out electric scooters, there are rental shops nearby. The pool is quite pretty, though the water didn't look entirely clean, so we skipped swimming this time. The afternoon tea spot has breathtaking views; you can swing while watching the bamboo rafts pass right by. After staying here for two nights, we moved on to The Pavilions, but both my husband and I agreed that staying at Riverside Hotel was much more relaxing and comfortable. We will definitely choose to stay here again next time we visit Yangshuo.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel by the Yulong River. We were pleasantly surprised at check-in when the hotel graciously offered us a free room upgrade. My absolute favorite spot was the hotel's Gu渡 Wharf Bar; sitting by the river with a cup of coffee, watching the bamboo rafts glide back and forth on the Yulong River, felt like being inside a painting—so relaxing. The location right by the river makes it super convenient for enjoying the mountain and water views. The overall service was attentive and thoughtful. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Yangshuo, and I'll be recommending it to my friends!

We stayed at the Guangyuehua Riverside Hotel during our family trip to Yangshuo. The location is fantastic, right in the Shili Gallery area with the Yulong River in plain view just outside the door. The travel photographer took amazing pictures, and the kids loved them. Highly recommended!

The hotel is quite large and has a strong resort vibe with a Southeast Asian touch. It is right by the Yulong River, making it super convenient to head straight back to the hotel after a bamboo raft ride. Some buildings offer stunning, unobstructed views of the river, though most are blocked by the large trees along the bank. You can stroll along the riverbank and enjoy the beautiful scenery without even leaving the hotel—I walked it about three times. The rooms are on the smaller side and show some age, but they are kept clean and tidy with all the necessary amenities. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming.

The location is fantastic. You can just chill by the Yulong River, and with Gongnong Bridge just a few steps away, it's super convenient to get anywhere. The scenery is simply unbeatable. The room is huge, and the service is also great.

The hotel has a great location right by the Yulong River. Instead of squeezing into crowded tourist spots outside, you can just sit by the river, sip some tea, and watch the bamboo rafts drift by—it's a unique and wonderful scenery. The children's playground is spacious and has a constant temperature control, and during the holidays, they even have concerts and fireworks shows. The little ones loved it!

This was by far the worst hotel experience of my trip, and ironically, the most expensive. The room facilities were outdated, some were even broken and hadn't been repaired. The hygiene conditions were also very concerning. Furthermore, the front desk staff's service attitude and professionalism at check-in left much to be desired; they urgently need more training and management. I hope Ctrip will be more diligent in assessing hotel qualifications and actual conditions when recommending properties in the future, to prevent consumers from having such disappointing experiences again.
