Accommodation: The villas, whether overwater or beach, are spacious and well-appointed with amenities like private pools and outdoor showers. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and comfort, although some note the need for maintenance on exterior parts.

We arrived on 1st October 2025 for 14 nights. The sea plane trip from Male to the island was magical. On arrival, we checked in swiftly with a welcome drink, and Diane made us feel very welcome. She gave us a tour of the island and dropped us to our beach villa [241]. Our cases were already there, and our room was ready. It was perfect, with a short walk to the beach and our sun loungers. Swimming in the sea on this side [E] was the best. The sea was calmer. Take beach shoes, though, as there is coral to walk over before the sand. Snorkelling was good with lots of fish to see on the reef. The staff throughout the island are very nice. Everyone is polite and says hello . Our second week was spent in [511], an ocean pool villa on the south part on the island. Having our private pool here really made the week, and if you can afford it, get an ocean pool villa rather than a water villa. The beach surrounds the island and is fantastic. Having read previous reviews, people are wrong to say that the food makes this a 3 star island. The food is very good overall. The facilities on the island make it 5 star - gym. Tennis, football, games room, spa, 3 x restaurants, reef, beach. We had no issue with the drinks, which were fine. Staff in La Pella always look after you. I would like to highlight Sara in La Pella and Oliver in Lime for their excellent customer service. We had an amazing trip. Thank you.

Lovely holiday! Get ready for a long review, hope someone finds it helpful! We flew to male direct from london Heathrow which was 10 hours on the way there and 11 on the way back. As soon as we landed into male our cases were ready and when we walked through someone was holding up a sign saying Brennia kotafaru on who took us straight to the desk to get our bags weighed for the sea plane. We then had to go in a short bus journey to the sea plane (about 5 mins) . I read online the luggage and hand luggage per person should weigh 25kg in total (mine was more but I wasn’t charged. I think I was over by about 4kg ) 40 mins sea plane from male and you are there. On arrival at 11am luckily our room was ready straight away and we were taken there on a golf buggy. Our luggage was then delivered to our room shortly after. We stayed in a private pool on the beach room 126. The Room is spacious. The bed is a super king size and comfy. English plug sockets Coat hangers Good air conditioning which doesn’t turn off when you open a door. Shower pressure could be better but it’s alright. TV- we managed to log into Netflix (we upgraded our Netflix temporarily to the one without adverts as it doesn’t support this abroad). We watched it and the WiFi meant it did buffer a few times but wasn’t too bad. We had a problem with our fridge getting cold which was a problem because I took mounjaro injection with me that needs to be kept in the fridge. We asked for this to be looked at and they sorted this out quickly. The drinks in the mini fridge are free and re stocked daily. But if you request and more or something that’s not in the fridge it is chargeable. I was disappointed as I drink Diet Coke and there was no diet drinks at all in the fridge but when we saw the cleaner he said he would call daily and request diet cokes for us instead of the other drinks. He was very helpful and friendly and we didn’t have to pay for this. The room is cleaned daily with fresh beach and bathroom towels. Someone comes at least twice a day to check the room and make sure you don’t need anything. The room has a pool and is very private (bushes out the front) so you don’t have a sea view, but it’s nice and private) there’s a little passage way to the beach through the bush. The bathroom is hot as it’s a semi outdoor bathroom (I find this a lot in the Maldives they seem to have no air con) there’s 2 showers and a toilet and 2 sinks. Had giant ants after the rain but only for 1 day. Our first bathroom had the hairdryer in the bathroom where there’s no air conditioning. But the second room we stayed in , it was in the room with air conditioning. Very spacious bathroom. The food is buffet style and waiters serve you your drinks. The food is ok, at breakfast they make fresh pancakes, have an egg station where someone cooks you fresh eggs. Fruit station where someone cuts your fruit for you. All hot food and cold. Lots of variety. At lunch usually fresh pizzas in their pizza
