Kimpton TSIM SHA TSUI HONG KONG by IHG

The location is fantastic! Right outside the hotel entrance is a subway station 🚇, and K11 is directly across the street. I originally booked a room facing east, but I just casually mentioned that I'd love to see the Victoria Harbour night view on my next visit. To my surprise, the front desk staff, a really lovely lady, said, "I'll upgrade your room for you so you can see it this time, no need to wait for your next stay!" I absolutely loved that! Haha! I'll definitely be staying here again next time! It's so convenient! It's also super close to Wah Sao Bing Sutt (restaurant), just a short walk away!!

The room size was a bit compact, but the hardware setup was decent. The location, however, was absolutely superb—easily one of the best locations we've stayed at in Hong Kong. Service definitely needs improvement; for a hotel in this price range, not having turndown service is a significant drawback. Also, apart from the pool staff who were quite enthusiastic, the rest of the team seemed rather indifferent. On our first day, the fire alarm kept going off repeatedly, making us seriously want to flee!

I have to give a shout-out to Rachel at the front desk! Her service was incredibly thoughtful. Check-in and check-out were both super fast, and she was so enthusiastic and patient. She answered all my questions promptly, which really enhanced my experience! She always greeted me with a smile, making my stay wonderfully comfortable.

The hotel location is excellent, right next to a subway entrance downstairs and K11 across the street. The sea view isn't directly facing, some room types are a bit off to the side. As a new hotel, the facilities are quite good. Remember to bring your own travel adapter; the hotel provides a 3-in-1 charging cable but it's not very fast. Finally, a small complaint about the room door – it's really heavy and hard to open if you don't put some muscle into it.

I found everything to be excellent. The doorman was friendly and polite, providing clear directions and even warning us to be careful of oncoming traffic, and he also told the taxi driver where we wanted to go. A big thank you to Audrey at the front desk for upgrading us to a room with a central sea view and for thoroughly explaining the hotel facilities, answering all our questions patiently. Another pleasant surprise was when I called housekeeping to ask for a lint roller. The employee said they would look for one, and I honestly thought they might forget, but they didn't! When I returned to my room in the evening, I found the lint roller placed on the table. I was so impressed that the staff remembered my request. The only minor drawback is that the toilet flush is a bit loud, which woke my child up at night. Other than that, everything else was perfect!

The view exceeded my expectations, and my mom especially loved the scenery from the window. The hotel facilities are thoughtful and very senior-friendly, and getting around was convenient. My mom and I had a wonderful trip!
