Upper House Shanghai

I specifically chose to stay at The Upper House Shanghai because I saw it offered the Trip.com Black Diamond WOW Privilege. I had originally planned to bring my mother here for her birthday, but she had a last-minute conflict and couldn't make it, so I brought my friend instead. The hotel’s Black Diamond WOW Privilege was very well prepared: as soon as we opened the door, we saw the Trip.com Black Diamond WOW welcome letter. The Upper House Shanghai's Black Diamond WOW Privilege was clearly outlined, including a complimentary room upgrade, 300 consumption credit, and more! Hotel service was exceptionally good. Since we received a complimentary room upgrade, the upgraded room needed to be cleaned. Leo, the front desk attendant, proactively invited us to the 3rd floor for complimentary drinks and let us order anything we wanted from the menu. He also informed us that we could check into our original room immediately, or we could wait on the third floor for the upgraded room to be cleaned while enjoying our drinks. He gave us multiple options, which was a very accommodating and efficient service approach. The hotel's Sui Tang Li restaurant was delicious. The 'Bull Demon King' dish was very filling; the two of us were completely stuffed from the two-person Black Pearl set menu. We couldn't even eat supper afterwards. It was exceptionally tasty. Charles, a waiter, also had a fantastic service attitude and kept introducing us to various dishes. He even prepared extra desserts for us at the end. I also want to especially thank Alex, the duty manager. Alex personally escorted us to our room and introduced it. His introduction was engaging and knowledgeable, not at all rigid. He also personally helped us inspect the room's cleanliness. The room was truly spotless! This was my first stay at The Upper House Shanghai and my first experience with the Black Diamond WOW hotel privilege. I sincerely thank Trip.com and all the staff at The Upper House Shanghai for their assistance. Hotel parking was very convenient. You need to drive to HKRI Taikoo Hui P1, and although it's called P1, it actually seemed to be on basement level three or two. Just keep driving down, and you'll see the P1 sign. After seeing the P1 sign, you'll see the signs for The Upper House Shanghai; just follow them, and it's very convenient. Thanks again to Leo, the front desk attendant, Alex, the duty manager, Charles, the restaurant waiter, and all the other staff at The Upper House Shanghai on October 6th and 7th. The hotel is beautiful, facing the large LV flagship store.

The hotel has a great location in Jing'an District, making it very convenient to get around. Special thanks to Mary Fonda at check-out; her service was warm, attentive, professional, and responsible. The overall experience was fantastic, and the room was spacious. I will definitely consider staying at Upper House Shanghai again on my next trip to Shanghai.

80% of the staff are genuine and professional, so even with a few minor hiccups, it's easy to be understanding. Thank you! This is my first time staying here since the name change (still struggling to accept the new name, though). Okay, I have to say… the service has definitely leveled up too, haha.

The hotel has a very convenient location, offering a tranquil retreat in the bustling city. The food at the restaurant was fantastic, and it's definitely worth staying here again. The front desk team—Jackie, Fiona, and Iris—provided wonderful service!

The Louis Vuitton boat-view room was truly amazing! It was so cozy and relaxing to sip coffee and soak in the sun in the room while looking out at Zhangyuan and watching the grand queues at LV every day. Upper House Shanghai is definitely worth visiting again and again—an option with incredible value for money. HKRI Taikoo Hui is right downstairs, making it super convenient whether you're taking the metro or catching a taxi. Besides, while the hotel is boutique and intimate, it has its own distinct vibe. All the floral arrangements are fresh flowers 💐. Every time I returned or left the hotel, the lovely front desk team greeted me warmly. They provide butler-style service, so you can reach out via WeChat for any requests or questions. Wonderful experience—it perfectly lives up to the brand's slogan!

A truly excellent experience! Although Upper House Shanghai has been around for a few years, its charm and quality definitely remain. The linens and all the facilities are top-notch. It's a peaceful oasis right in the middle of the city, and transportation is very convenient. A great stay!

I really liked the overall design style of the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service; our needs were always promptly addressed. The breakfast was good. I recommend choosing Upper House Shanghai.

A huge thank you to Alex, Emma, and Nifty at the front desk; their service was thoughtful and impeccable, they were patient and friendly with guests, and genuinely helped solve minor issues. The location is uniquely advantageous, saving time and effort for both shopping and getting around. My entire stay was delightful, making it a top choice for accommodation in Shanghai.
