As usual, everything was clean and good. It's in the very center, which is super convenient. The staff were polite and helped me resolve an issue with storing my luggage at another hotel. One downside for Russians: they only accept card payments at the reception, even for simple snacks, so keep that in mind as cash won't be accepted. Another plus is that check-in is 24/7.

I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at Bobopod Kota Lama Semarang and had a 5/5 experience overall. The location is very strategic, making it easy to explore the Kota Lama area and nearby attractions. The facilities are complete and well-maintained, with a surprisingly comfortable shared space and modern design. I especially enjoyed the shower room, which was clean and convenient. The sleeping pod itself was a highlight—it was my first time staying in a hostel pod, and it exceeded expectations with its ambient lighting, built-in music, and cool, comfortable temperature that made sleeping very relaxing. Overall, it’s a great blend of comfort, privacy, and practicality for a short stay in Semarang.

This is honestly the best and coolest hostel I’ve stayed at so far! I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the overall environment—it felt so welcoming, comfortable, and fun. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, which made the whole stay even better. You can really feel the positive vibe here. Everything was great, and I genuinely enjoyed my time at this hostel. Definitely one of my favorite stays so far, and I would happily come back again!

Given the price, the comfort here definitely lives up to the reviews. A big plus for me was having a liquor store nearby where you can drink on-site. The only thing I would mention is that the bathroom area could use a bit more cleanliness.
