Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor

A hotel with a rich sense of history. The environment and facilities are also first-class; the lobby bar has live piano music in the evenings, and there's a historical elevator you can experience. Rooms use traditional keys, and the bathroom was a bit small. Turndown service included a story card.

The hotel has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the facilities are a bit old. The room near the road was very noisy at night due to an event, and the soundproofing wasn't good, which was a bit of a shame.

Everyone was smiling, and the service was incredibly warm. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweets delivered every night around 8 PM; they were absolutely delicious. It was also very thoughtful that they brought so many things to the room, like water and towels. The view outside was of the pool, surrounded by greenery, and I woke up to the sound of birds singing every morning – it truly felt like an ideal life for our 2-night, 3-day stay.

Staying at the Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Angkor Wat was an unforgettable experience. This classic, nearly century-old hotel exudes an elegant French colonial style throughout, from its high-ceilinged lobby to its classically designed rooms, all filled with a nostalgic charm. The hotel still retains its old-fashioned wrought iron cage elevator, and riding it feels like stepping back in time, which was a delightful surprise. The staff were exceptionally kind and enthusiastic; whether it was the check-in reception or dining service, they consistently demonstrated a high standard of meticulousness and warmth. The food was also outstanding; both breakfast and dinner were exquisite and delicious. I especially recommend the hotel's famous Elephant Bar. Enjoying a drink during Happy Hour not only allows you to savor classic cocktails but also to experience a leisurely and stylish ambiance. Whether for travel or leisure, this place is worth revisiting again and again.
