Metropolo Nanjing Road Nanjing Hotel, Shanghai

The location is excellent, very convenient for transportation, and the Bund is just a ten-minute walk away. Downstairs, there are plenty of local specialty snacks, making it incredibly convenient for both tourists and business travelers. It offers great value for money. My only complaint is that as soon as I entered the room, I noticed a strong smell of smoke. There was a clear no-smoking sign in the room, so aren't those who smoke in there a bit selfish? Since I was only staying for one night, I didn't bother asking staff to switch rooms. I turned on the ventilation and opened the windows and doors for about three or four hours before the smell mostly dissipated. The staff's service attitude was excellent. Please enforce the no-smoking policy in rooms more strictly. The fines clearly stated on the no-smoking signs should be strictly implemented. There's a police station right next door, so if anyone resists the fine, just report it to them.

The room isn't huge, but it has so much character, with a charming old Shanghai vibe in its decor. The hotel itself has some history, and I really appreciate that kind of atmosphere. You can tell a lot of thought went into the hotel's design and arrangements. Bottled water is freely available and constantly restocked at the elevator landing, which is a nice touch. There's a ton of great food downstairs, and the pedestrian street is just around the corner. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Right next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, which is super convenient for shopping. It's only a few minutes walk to the bus and Metro Line 2 and 10, and just a few hundred meters to the Bund. Couldn't be more convenient!

Booked for 2 nights. The 1.8-meter bed was spacious and comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. Most importantly, it's very close to the subway station entrance, making getting around incredibly convenient. Downstairs, there are many famous old Shanghai restaurants. I especially loved the Dahu Chun pan-fried buns; I ate them for two days straight!

The room was fantastic – spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even offer complimentary water not just in the room, but also by the stairwells. The overall ambiance and design really capture the essence of old Shanghai, and the staff have that 'Old Kle' charm themselves. The location is unbeatable; stepping out, you're surrounded by restaurants, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is literally ten steps away. I even managed to snap a pic of a menu from the restaurant across the street, right from my window! 😂

Tucked away in a lively area, this hotel boasts an unbeatable location, just a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Metro Line 2, right off the pedestrian street. It's a hotel with a real sense of history, specially decorated in an old Shanghai style, which I absolutely loved. The cleanliness and service were both excellent. Highly recommended! 😀

Great location! Super close to Nanjing East Road, making shopping incredibly convenient. The breakfast spread was fantastic, and it was so handy to pop back to the hotel to drop off our shopping bags or just rest up during our breaks from exploring, especially with the hot weather. Plus, there's a street right outside with famous old eateries!

The hotel's location is super convenient, right across from a bunch of classic eateries, which is perfect for families with kids – no need to stress about finding food. While Nanjing Road has plenty of food options, they're quite spread out. Plus, Bailian ZX, an anime lover's paradise, is right next to the hotel. You can drop off your shopping and keep exploring. Besides the pedestrian street, you can also walk to Dianchi Road, the Bund, and Waibaidu Bridge. Many attractions are within a 20-minute walk. The only minor drawback is that the bathroom is a bit old and just okay.

The hotel is right in Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The front desk service was excellent. We booked a twin room with 1-meter beds, and they upgraded us for free to a twin room with 1.2-meter beds. The shower had great water pressure. Stepping out of the hotel, you're immediately surrounded by century-old shops, offering delicious fried buns and beef soup, and the breakfast was abundant. The hotel's buffet was decent. The most convenient part is that if you exit the hotel, turn left, walk a few steps, then turn right, you're at Exit 1 of Metro Line 2. It's super convenient for getting anywhere. Very nice! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Shanghai.
