Sheraton Hartford South Hotel

My AC was not working. I got to my room, and the temperature had to be at least 85 degrees. The AC unit was blowing out hot air. When I complained about the issue I was told "some people like the rooms warm. They told me they would send up someone to fix the problem and they never showed up. Fortunately, it was a cool day and I could open the window partially, and I was able to turn the AC off. Another positive was I only stayed one night. The hotel was full, so a room change was not possible.

The breakfast buffet was delicious. All the staff in the building was attentive and polite. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms meticulously clean.

The business facilities were shut down and Non operational. Parking was easy and safe on property. The hotel is in need of an update/renovation. The property needs to provide free breakfast. Similar hotels provide at no cost. Breakfast even to get a yogurt would cost 13.00

The room was fine and the bed was particularly comfortable. However the second night we had no hot water and the ceilings in the lobby were leaking with plaster coming down. That being said, ******* kindly issued us a generous refund. Also worth noting that the pool is permanently closed and the water fountains did not work. The hotel is fine, just old, and there are things that come with being old!

The room had problems. The vent over the shower was filthy and there was no easy way to plug in phone charger next to bed. The bath tub drain had rust stains. Clearly rooms need an update.

The facilities were in excellent condition. I enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant. My room was quiet and dark when I wanted it to be. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The General Manager Mike demonstrated excellent customer service even going above and beyond his daily tasks to accommodate me during an overnight winter storm.

No hot water and this is not the first time this has happened to me at this hotel
