Room 4/5 The room I received was large and spacious. Lots of storage options such as a wardrobe and a safe. The housekeeping was very good and cleaned every day. Towels replenished and bed sheets also. The reason for deducting 1 star is because whilst the room itself is decent. I don’t think it reflects a 4 star property. The bedside lamps flicker (Room 214) on the reading lamp and there are some scuffs and marks on the furniture. Also the balcony furniture is worn and could do with replacing. (If this was a 3 star hotel I would seem acceptable) Food and drink 4/5 Very good selection of food and drinks. All inclusive drinks are branded spirits and soft drinks such as Pepsi and Absolut vodka. The food in the restaurant is average. In terms of selection very good. However the way it is presented in metal dishes is not how to present 4 star food. Staff 4/5 Staff at this hotel are great. Very conversational even with limited English spoken. Before anyone starts, I knew this was a Spanish hotel and it was actually the reason I booked as I know some Spanish phrases and like to practice my language! You are in Spain so give it a go! My reason for a 1 star deduction is that my room key kept deactivating multiple times a day and the response at the reception was slow and laboured. I didn’t receive a real apology. Just that it happens and they gave me 2 cards in case it did happen again. Overall 4/5 Room for improvement - but overall pretty good and I would return

??? Are we ZOO? Birds flying along restaurant? Near food?? Seriously? Even in Egypt is more clean - no birds - at restaurants!!! Don't you know birds transfer viruses etc?? This is 3rd class hotel, for sure 4stars is at least 3 too much.

We are currently staying here and this is our second visit. Having seen some of the negative reviews I felt I needed to add a review. Firstly to the person who gave a one star because nuggets were only served once a week and his child had nothing to eat. This is your fault as a parent not the hotel. The food at these hotels is self service and has to cater for many nationalities and this is a Spanish hotel not McDonalds in the sun. We actually found the standard of food excellent, there might be things you don’t like but that’s normal. The hotel is not brand new but the rooms are massive, the hotel is spotless and every where you look the staff are busy working and are often ignored by the guests. This place has character and if as a guest you have a preconceived idea then it is not the hotels fault. For the second time it is fantastic. The staff are great but English is not their first language, whoopee we’re in Spain. I’m sure if Spaniards went to the Uk there maybe a language barrier!! For us a beautiful clean hotel on the beach with wonderful well kept grounds, good food and great staff, what could you ask for more??

My 3rd visit and as ever, the hotel delivers everything that I need. Yes, there are some maintenance issues but overall the facilities are good. The food is certainly not to 4 star standard, which I can say being an experienced and frequent traveller. The presentation of the food is not great and the quality of food is lacking. What is standout for the hotel is its location and friendliness of its staff. Being right on the beach is great. I didn't use the pool as there were no sunbeds available and it was full of noisy children, but that is to be expected from a family orientated hotel. At the time of my travel I th8nk that I may have been the only, or 1 of very few Brits. It is highly frequented Spanish guests. If I return to Vera again, I shall re book here.

The package that is being sold as all inclusive it is not. If you want to have all inclusive you need to purchase the all inclusive imperial when you arrive at the hotel. The food selection it is very poor. If you want an ice cream for the kids you need to pay separately. The rooms can keys never work, you need to go to reception 6-7 times a day to tell them it's not working and recharge it. The staff barely speaks any English (you can barely order a coffee). If you want to change the pool towels you need to pay 1 euro per towel every time you change it. That also tell you about some costs that we didn't know when we made the booking, like they have to upgrade the room and you have to pay otherwise our room will be God knows where. For parking, if you rwnt a car, it is 18 euros per day in the hotel parking otherwise you have to leave it on the street. I do not recommend this resort at all!!! I can say that this resort doesn't deserve the rating that it has. If you don't havr the room card with you, you can't get food, drinks, nothing. I definitely do not recommend this resort!

My family and I landed in Spain around 8:00 PM, and the drive to the hotel in our rental car took over an hour. When we arrived, we tried to check in, but it turned out the hotel had no record of our reservation. After several failed attempts to communicate with the receptionist (who, like 99% of the staff, spoke very little English) and a phone call to Love holidays, I was forced to pay for the first night out of my own pocket. For three adults and a child, I had to pay £279 just so the hotel could "resolve" the issue the next day. To make matters worse, we stood at reception for about two hours, and not a single staff member even offered us a bottle of water! The next morning, I received a message saying I had to contact reception for a refund because the hotel had "finally" found our booking. We had booked an "All-Inclusive" package for the whole family, but we soon discovered the reality was far from it. For instance, when I tried to get an ice cream for my son, I was told I had to pay because it was only included in the "All-Inclusive Premium" option—something we were never informed of during booking. Furthermore, the standard "All-Inclusive" did not include basic items like crisps, ice cream, or certain drinks. I ended up paying an extra £150 for the "Premium" upgrade just so my child could have an ice cream and a bag of snacks. We arrived in a rental car and parked on the street next to the hotel where many other cars were parked, as the hotel parking was full. The car stayed there all week without any issues, but on Thursday morning, it was towed because a market was being held in that spot. When I asked the reception why no one contacted us—despite having a hotel phone in our room and my mobile number on file—the receptionist claimed in broken English that they "cannot call non-Spanish phone numbers." Absolute nonsense. As a result, I had to pay €60 for the towing and a €100 fine for parking in a prohibited area. Impressive, right? As for the food, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in regarding meal quality. It was very poor and not child-friendly at all. They served chicken nuggets once a week; otherwise, my son ate nothing but chips for seven days. The biggest "surprise" was seeing dumplings at dinner that turned out to be made using the leftover tomato soup from lunch. A total scandal. The magnetic key cards, used for rooms and ordering snacks, were a disaster. The system is tragic—I found myself having to replace my card at reception 4–5 times a day because they kept failing. On our penultimate evening, we returned to our room to find an ant infestation in the hallway. After reporting it, the area was cleaned, but the problem returned the very next day. The only positive thing I can say is that the pool and the children’s slides were great. Everything else was a massive negative. The biggest issue is the total lack of communication; as mentioned, 99% of the staff do not speak English, which is a huge problem for Englis

We recently stayed at the Playzimbali Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious grounds that are very well maintained. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, although located at the very far end of the complex, which was a real struggle for myself and my elderly father (88, blind, with severe back issues). Unfortunately, despite the lovely setting, the holiday was let down by several serious issues: Facilities: The pool was extremely cold, and the standard sunbeds were both uncomfortable and rather grubby. We discovered too late that there was a “premium” all-inclusive option with better sunbeds and snacks – but we were not informed of this when booking. We even offered to pay to upgrade, but were told this wasn’t possible unless we changed rooms, which were not available. This left us with no choice but to use the poor sunbeds, or in the end, sit on plastic chairs we found. Food & Drink: The all-inclusive food was by far the worst we’ve experienced in many years of travel. Most dishes tasted strongly of rancid oil, making even simple vegetables, meat and fish unpleasant. I ended up surviving on bread and cheese most evenings. Around the pool the drinks were limited and all contained aspartame; alternative options were only available at the inside bar. Snacks such as crisps were also restricted to “premium” guests. Food often ran out and was not replenished. Accessibility: As two disabled travellers, we faced unexpected difficulties. One evening we sat at the designated disabled table in the restaurant (the only one near the entrance, which we relied on due to mobility issues). A waitress named Anita abruptly told us we could not sit there because we didn’t have a wheelchair with us. Disabilities are not always visible, but she was extremely rude, even snatching my husband’s plate away mid-meal. I told her I would be putting her on Trip Advisor at which point she brought the manager over, then got very heated in discussion and actually elbowed the manager (who was very conciliatory) out of the way. The manager later apologised and confirmed she was wrong, but the incident left us upset and spoiled our holiday. Atmosphere: For the first few days the hotel was peaceful, but from Friday onwards large groups of Spanish families arrived and the atmosphere completely changed. Children ran wild, damaging hotel property, throwing drinks into the fountain and attempting to break the revolving door, with little or no parental supervision. It felt chaotic, and we avoided the hotel by going out each day and evening. On the positive side, most staff (reception, cleaners, and many of the waiting team) were pleasant, helpful and friendly, and the hotel grounds are undeniably attractive. However, the combination of poor food, inaccessible facilities, rude treatment by one staff member, and a lack of information about “premium” versus standard all-inclusive left us very disappointed. Sadly, this was not the relaxing holiday we had hoped for,

I dont unterstand the positiv reviews. The only positive thing i can say is the friendly staff - thats it. The rooms are very old and a lot of things are broken. The sunbeds are very dirty from drinks and food. The food in the Restaurant is without taste and poor quality. The breakfast is the only thing what was ok but eggs and bread you can not do a lot of things wrong. Kids disco is only 5 dancing songs thats it. A lot of tables outside from the bars are dirty. The pool area is nice - the pool water ice cold and the pool inside closed! When you check the prices from this hotel is not worth it at all!!

There are actually 3 lifts, but most people only know of the one in the main reception. During my stay, only one of these two lifts in reception worked, but the other two lifts were in operation.. The main issue that I, and plenty of others had, related to electrics. The door entry system seldom worked to get into your room or to go out or back from the beach. There was often a queue of people trying to get back into the hotel grounds from the beach, everyone trying their key cards yo get in. Also, none of the in room safe deposit boxes worked. Other than that, I felt it was a good hotel. I would class it as 3 star as it does need updating. I've read other reviews, and I have to disagree with many of the negative comments. I thought the food was good and well cooked with good variety. My room was kept clean and staff were helpful. It did everything that I needed, and I plan to book again for next year.
