Art Color has a nice atmosphere. You can cook and boil water on the first floor, and many guests are very nice and welcoming. Meals, however, require you to go to the owner's other guesthouse, Life Is Beautiful, a 10-minute walk away. The food is okay: breakfast is the same every day: bread, salad, sausage, and coffee. Dinner is just soup with rice, which is filling, but you can order extra for a fee. The only thing that irritated me was the owner's attitude and service! Isn't pick-up and drop-off a standard service at a guesthouse? The owner was fawning over white people, using a translator to chat with them, but pretended not to understand English with mainland Chinese people! On a snowy and windy night, I tried to get the owner to take me from Life Is Beautiful to Art Color, but he refused and told me to walk there alone. What was infuriating was that he quickly drove to Art Color after I left, but ignored me as he passed me and told me to walk on my own. Even more infuriating was that the next day, after breakfast, he offered to pick up a German woman for free while we were at the ski resort! What a disgusting attitude! 🤢 Ambi is nice, but I will never stay there again! Even if I have money, I won’t let you make any!

This time I booked Arts Color, but I actually stayed in the owner’s other main building with a restaurant, Life is Beautiful (should be called Beautiful Life~). The B&B is about 10-15 minutes’ walk from Appi Ski Resort and Shirakaba Hot Spring. It’s not too far away. Dinner at the key B&B looks simple, but it’s super delicious. It’s at the level of a French restaurant. There’s free pick-up and pick-up at 8-9 am & 16-17 pm (Appi Station or Appi Ski Resort), and there’s a Japanese-style hot spring bath at B1. , just like the size of a personal hot spring in Yangmingshan, but it is really relaxing to take a dip after skiing. There is also a beautiful and atmospheric APPI House bakery and cafe opposite the B&B, and there is a ROCKY BBQ restaurant next door, in this countryside At night, there are already a lot of such shops, because there is really no nightlife here at night. You can consider going to Baihua Hot Spring for a bath (open until 23:00). This is a solo trip, and the cost for one hotel and two meals is NT2100/ God, I think it’s a great value and worth recommending. I hope I can visit again soon.
