SHINE INN (TST Metro Station B1 Exit)

I stayed here for 2 nights and would recommend it. It’s very conveniently located — about 50-60 minutes to reach by bus (A21) from HK International Airport. The bus stop is around the corner from the entrance. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the Harbour, Avenue of Stars, etc., and a 30 minute walk to West Kowloon Station, to give an idea. There’s a 7-11 just outside the entrance, an HSBC with ATMs across the street, and plenty of restaurants and so on. I’ve attached a picture of the entrance, which is across the street from Tsim Sha Tsui subway station exit B. Walk down the hall, up the stairs to the elevator, and go to floor 11. Look for the Shine Inn sign to the left of the elevator. There is a phone at the entrance with the number to call to let the host know you’re there. The room is small but comfortable and clean. You can open the windows for fresh air and there’s an AC unit that cools it down nicely. I slept well and found it very convenient for getting around HK for a couple days.

The owner of the accommodation was very kind and friendly and nice. He advised we on things they needed to know and be aware of. He tried to explain everything to us in detail so that we could enjoy our trip. The train station is right in front of the accommodation. It makes travel very convenient, and the bus stops are also nearby for many routes. There is a small 7-Eleven convenience store near the entrance to the accommodation. It's located near the famous Red Tea restaurant and it's near Best Mart 360, a place where you can buy a wide variety of snacks and souvenirs. just a short walk away. The rooms are clean and have complete amenities. Ideal for travelers who aren't focused on luxury and want to save money on trip.

The proprietor was very rude, constantly insisting I sit down on arrival, saying I don’t understand in Chinese, and acting overall very erratic and unfriendly/ unprofessional. The place is another cheaply subdivided flat, the bedding was clean, no cockroaches or hair, but the bathroom door was completely missing and had been replaced with a shower curtain. That’s pretty wrong for a room with two beds. The sink simply drained onto the floor, so if you brush your teeth, your feet get a coating of toothpaste too if you’re not careful. Air conditioning was sufficient, lights and fan all worked.. but do yourself a favour and spend just a little more to stay somewhere else.

Such a great night stay! Owner is lovely and able to give many recommendations, room is in the BEST location right by the station and in a good area, room is clean bed is very comfy. Very affordable!
