Hotel Paxton Barcelona

Best hotel amongst all the hotel i have stayed in Barcelona! I like it even better than Grandhyatt Barcelona in terms of room and location. the room is large with working space for my husband. their handwash and shampoo/bodywash is Ritual. Very stylish design, just that the sound barrier wasn't the best. breakfast is good although lacking in varieties, their breakfast crossaint is from a bakery Madeleine by Ferrieres thats 50ms away, best crossaint in the entire trip. The location is superb, there are so many food around, do check out Madeleine by Ferrieres and Estacion Helados, which is a top rated bakery and gelato place respectively, both ＜ 100ms away.

Everything else is good as expectations except I was bitten badly (about 30 bites) by bedbugs after the first night. Reported to the manager and he immediately changed room for us and said they will “seal” the room and do an investigation by a third party. We checked out after 2 more nights and ask for the report and findings and was told that “there is no trace of bedbugs”. There was no compensation and not even apology. Photos attached inconvenience caused, the handling of the situation was extremely disappointing and fell well below acceptable hospitality standards. Photos attached for reference.

Quite clean. Good aesthetic. See-through shower/bathroom door. Unsuitable for non-couples. 10 min walk to nearest tube station and convenience store for drinks/snacks. Iron did not work/ripped clothing. When this was reported, no alternative was given.

Hotel room really clean - only problem was the water from the shower flooded the whole bathroom. Great toiletries provided. Pool area clean and modern

Uncooperative staff and non-responsive. No duty of care and rude over the phone when trying to address issues related to booking. Do not recommend, much better options available in the area.

Excellent hotel with wonderful service We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service was excellent — whenever we needed something, they were always ready to help and solve any issue quickly. For example, when we needed an iron, it was brought to our room almost immediately. The breakfast was also great, with a good selection and everything we needed to start the day. The location is another big advantage. The hotel is in a quiet and peaceful area, close to the sea, with taxis nearby and everything you need within easy reach. The only downside was the soundproofing. The walls are quite thin, and we could clearly hear conversations, music, and even furniture or beds being moved in the neighbouring room. This was sometimes disturbing, especially at night. Apart from that, we were very happy with our stay. A very nice hotel, great location, wonderful staff, and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again!

Cleanliness could be improved – we noticed tiny insects on the bed (though we weren't bitten). Probably not the best choice if you're very hygiene-conscious. Also, there is no bathroom door, so water easily spills into the hallway.
