I had an early flight, and staying here made getting to the terminal incredibly convenient. The room was well-designed, spacious, and clean. I could see planes taking off, and the sunset was beautiful. They offer complimentary late-night snacks like wontons, noodles, and various porridges, which was a very thoughtful touch for late-arriving guests. The fridge was stocked with mineral water and drinks. The soundproofing was excellent. Vivi, the manager on duty, was very attentive and thorough. I'm extremely satisfied! I'll definitely stay here again if I need to.

I travel for business about one to two hundred nights a year, staying in hotels both domestically and internationally, and this is the first time I've encountered a hotel so forgetful. A month ago, the bathroom in my room leaked in the middle of the night. I reported it to the front desk, and they said housekeeping would get back to me. A month passed, and I never received a call. This time, upon checking in again, I found the previous guest's contact lens in the room! When checking out, I reported it to the front desk again, and they once again said they would inform housekeeping to contact me. As I'm writing this review, almost 12 hours have passed, and no one has reached out. This has truly been an eye-opening experience, disgusting to the extreme! This is the first negative review I've ever given on Trip.com after all these years!

Traveling with my child, we took the subway directly from Daxing Airport station to the second floor of the terminal, then found gate 13 and followed the signs straight to the Kapok Hotel. The entrance design was a pleasant surprise; as the automatic doors opened, it felt like entering a time tunnel, with layers unfolding, as if stepping into another dimension. The room also had a great ambiance, though personally, I prefer a slightly brighter style, so it felt a tad dim. We went to the pool at 9 AM and enjoyed the hotel's amenities, having a fantastic swim with my child.

On my last business trip, I stumbled upon Kapok Hotel and decided I had to stay here on my next visit. So, when I flew to Daxing this time, I booked it. It's definitely suitable for layovers; flight schedules are displayed in the lobby and rooms, and it's a 15-minute walk to security. If you have a lot of luggage, you can even call for concierge pick-up and drop-off. The room was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet stay. I really liked the design language here; there were stationery and power outlets near the desk, perfect for some light work. The room dividers were also cleverly designed, and the toiletries had a classic grapefruit scent. The public areas featured a large collection of books and a bar, serving afternoon tea, coffee, and light meals. I'd say it's the best hotel I've stayed in for reading and working – equally quiet, and they also sell many creative cultural souvenirs. The gym and pool were spacious and largely empty. Breakfast was good; the egg tarts and donuts were delicious, a real plus for the bakery. The made-to-order egg station and noodle bar were also excellent. They even offer late-night snacks, and I particularly enjoyed the Xiaodiaolitang (a traditional Beijing pear soup)! I stayed for 7 consecutive days due to work in Beijing, and I'm very grateful for the daily, comfortable, and seamless service from the front desk. Vivi and Terra provided quick and thoughtful assistance when I encountered booking issues – a huge thank you to them! Many other colleagues also offered a lot of help; I couldn't get all their names, but my thanks go out to them too!

I've lost count of how many times I've been here. This time, I came with the kids and we stayed in a bay window room. Unfortunately, all these room types are on the second floor, so you can't see airplanes like the front desk said you could. There's another world waiting for you on the second floor, accessible from the lobby – it's comparable to a Zhongshuge bookstore, or perhaps even better. It's very quiet and perfect for some peaceful reading, though most guests are probably in too much of a hurry to discover it. The creative toys and souvenirs on the first floor are also quite interesting. It was with the kids that I learned the hotel also offers Nintendo Switch rentals, but unfortunately, the hotel staff couldn't get the device to work properly. The showers in the pool and gym were quite dirty and not cleaned promptly. Breakfast was plentiful, but it was very crowded. Cutlery wasn't replenished quickly enough, and the dining tables and plates weren't cleaned properly.

Overall, the room was quite nice, though it had a bit of a dark vibe. The window area made a thumping sound all night, which was a bit spooky. The Oribe toiletries were good. Surprisingly, there was no seating available for breakfast, and the clearing of tables was a bit slow.

This isn't my first stay here. Whenever my flight back to Beijing is too late, and I worry about disturbing my elderly family members, or if I need to adjust my pace before leaving Beijing, I always choose to stay at Kapok for a short while. I won't go into other details, but I'll focus on the changes I observed during this recent stay: **The Good Parts:** 1. The hotel called me the day before check-in to upgrade my room to the requested type, which I really appreciated. 2. This time, I had the chance to try the swimming pool. The water temperature was well-controlled, and the underwater music was a particularly nice touch. 3. When I left the pool in the morning, a male staff member there kindly warned me that the hot water in the showers would be slow to come on, which was very thoughtful. **Areas for Improvement:** 1. I previously suggested the hotel add self-service laundry facilities, but they still haven't. Self-service laundry is a real necessity for an airport hotel, and it seems like other hotels of the same brand in different cities already offer this service. It's a pity that the Daxing Airport branch still doesn't have it. 2. The pool showers only had shampoo and body wash available. For people with long hair, it means having to go back to the room to wash their hair, which is inconvenient. In the men's changing room, there was only one comb, and it was already out of its packaging, making it awkward to decide whether to use it or not. 3. The in-room amenities were the most uncomfortable aspect of this stay. The tea and coffee station was minimalist, with only two water glasses, two spoons, a corkscrew, and two sets of tea/coffee and sugar packets. They provided two sets of dental kits but only one rinsing cup. If it's a cost-saving or environmental consideration, and I'm staying alone, providing one set is understandable and acceptable. But such an unrefined selection of amenities felt a bit odd. To avoid any issues during check-out, I called the front desk directly to report it. 4. The smart room control system was very unresponsive. The amenity replenishment function kept failing, and in the end, I had to call for service. Controlling room functions required repeated commands, and eventually, I resorted to manual operation. 5. The fixed, large bottles of toiletries in the room were difficult to pump, especially by the sink. 6. There were too many guests at Xiao Nanyang, so I didn't go to the restaurant this time. When I ordered room service and called the front desk for a wine glass, they said they didn't have any… It's hard to accept that a hotel can't find a single wine glass. Then what's the corkscrew in the room for??! With more and more hotels appearing around the airport and their facilities becoming increasingly comprehensive, perhaps making appropriate adjustments and improvements to match current demands is essential to retain more guests.
