Mumian Beijing Daxing International Airport, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Hotel

I chose the Kapok Hotel for my last night of the trip. Firstly, it's incredibly convenient as it's right inside the airport, making it easy to relax and check in for my flight. Secondly, it's absolutely stunning, and I really wanted to experience it. As soon as I walked in, I thought, 'Oh no, I really should have put on some makeup!' Every corner is worth stopping to admire. The room was incredibly comfortable, and both my mom and child were very happy with it. Xiao Niu from the guest services center was an absolute angel! She started asking about my needs even before I arrived. When I got to my room, I was genuinely surprised and delighted! She thoughtfully upgraded my room and even adorably chilled some drinks and beer for me. Was Xiao Niu reading my mind? How did she know that after my journey, all I really wanted was a refreshing, slightly tipsy beer? In the morning, when we checked out, Viva thoughtfully prepared two breakfast packages for my mom and child, which saved us so much time. Thank you again! With these two wonderful young ladies, Kapok Hotel must be as happy as a marshmallow!

This hotel, connected directly to the Daxing Airport terminal via a walkway, boasts an excellent location and a strong sense of design and artistry. The lobby features an expansive book browsing and gift area that's well worth exploring. The staff are professional and enthusiastic, and our booking even included a late-night supper option. The rooms are comfortable and upscale, with a well-designed layout that left a great impression. A special shout-out to their lounge – fantastic value for money. Enjoying a special cocktail while watching the World Cup live really made for a memorable and pleasant moment.

Extremely close to Daxing Airport, you can get there in less than five minutes through an internal passage. The decor is comfortable and stylish, and the staff are very attentive. Had a great experience.

Due to an early morning flight from Beijing Daxing, I didn't want to rush, so I decided to try this hotel. This Hyatt-branded hotel is the only one in deep partnership with Daxing Airport, and you truly stay (next) to the airport. First, on the way to the hotel by taxi, there were clear road signs directing us to the hotel as we approached the airport. From the moment you step into the hotel lobby, airplane elements surround you. Flight schedules are displayed on the lobby wall, and what's even more impressive: there's a dedicated channel for flight schedules on the in-room TV! There's a direct passage from the hotel lobby to the second floor of the airport terminal. This is the hotel's biggest **plus point**. While it's not as exaggerated as some online influencers claim—ten minutes from bed to boarding gate—it is genuinely very close. After exiting the hotel's terminal passage, you need to walk through a deserted commercial area for about 15 minutes to reach the airport entrance (where security checks are). So, it's safer to allow about half an hour, but this is still excellent. Moving on from the location, let's talk about the room. We booked a Deluxe King Room this time, and the guest service center thoughtfully upgraded us to a suite before check-in. Upon entering, there's a foyer with a long bench, perfect for large suitcases. The living room is on the left, and the bedroom is on the right. Both rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The mini-bar and welcome fruit platter were good; the fruit platter included Beijing's traditional 'Lü Da Gun' (rolling donkey). The bedroom also had a small bay window. The bathroom featured a double vanity, which is very convenient for two people needing to get ready for an early flight. The room had no peculiar smells, was very clean, and every corner exuded a pleasant aroma. All the switches in the hotel room were retro toggle-style, giving a full sense of mechanical design. Now, about the hotel breakfast: it was quite average, with no particular highlights. We had expected Peking duck, but surprisingly, there wasn't any. Personally, as a hotel situated at an airport, which often represents the city's image, I think it would be better to offer some local specialties for breakfast. Of course, I'll mention a few drawbacks. The strangest thing was the two brass figurines placed in the room, one of which was sitting on the headboard. I found this design particularly unsettling; we covered the figurine with a towel when sleeping. I have no idea where such a bizarre inspiration came from. Additionally, the shower water pressure was pitifully weak, thinner than my arm, which made for an unsatisfying shower. Lastly, the restroom door wasn't soundproof; conversations (or other sounds) from inside were clearly audible outside, which could be awkward, especially for newly dating couples. Also, the seemingly wireless landline was genuinely 'wireless' – meaning it had no connection. After fiddling with it for ages, I couldn't figure out how to make a call, and eventually just used my mobile to call the front desk. Overall, the stay experience was good. If you have an early flight, staying here is very suitable, especially thanks to Shanshan at the guest service center, whose excellent service was truly memorable.

The hotel is conveniently located on the second floor, along the walkway, after exiting the Airport Express. It's clean, elegantly designed, and has a large bathroom, making it perfect for catching an early flight. Excellent overall.

This is my second stay here, and compared to other hotels in the same category, the facilities and staff professionalism are definitely top-notch. However, I did notice two issues. First, the guest etiquette varies quite a bit. They really need to use stanchions to encourage people to queue properly. It's incredibly rude when someone stands right next to you, ID in hand, waiting to check in while you're still in the middle of your own process. Second, the front desk staff should remind guests about the fast-track security vouchers. Even though Daxing Airport's international departures don't have a separate lane for business/first class, these vouchers are still valid. Realizing you have to dig for the voucher last minute really brings down the whole experience.

The bed was way too soft, and the comforter was way too thick for summer – how are you supposed to sleep with that? Plus, the sheets and comforter made a lot of noise when rubbing together, which really disturbed my sleep. Another big issue was that there were no towels at the pool.

The room environment was excellent and very clean. The service was also top-notch, with a great attitude that made me feel right at home. This was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely come back if I have the chance. Very satisfied!

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff member Vivi was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The lobby's overall design is very modern, opulent, and grand. The hotel breakfast is also worth mentioning; there's a good variety, and the chefs and servers are all very professional.
