Steigenberger Airport Hotel Berlin

Whenever I visit Berlin, especially when I need to travel to another city the next day, I habitually choose this hotel. The hotel facilities are complete and the service is good! The breakfast is very rich, and the most crucial thing is that it's close to the airport – just a few minutes' walk to the terminal. Excellent!

This hotel is super convenient for early morning flights. The rooms are much larger than what you'd find in the city center, and housekeeping cleans daily. Breakfast was decent with a good selection, though it was the same menu for all three days I stayed.

The hotel is right outside the airport exit, which is incredibly convenient. The breakfast, especially, is very extensive. The room was quiet and dry. If I come to Berlin again, I would definitely stay here.

A clean and comfortable choice for a layover/quick overnight stay. I spontaneously booked this hotel because I had to wait for my flight to Berlin and my train was delayed. It was basically a very short stay, just a few hours to sleep before heading out again. Even though my stay was brief, the overall experience was good: the facilities were very clean, and the bed was comfortable, though the pillow support was a bit lacking. If you're a traveler like me, with a layover or a tight schedule, I highly recommend this place.

The hotel is right next to Terminal 1 of the airport and the Airport Express exit, which is a superb location. The room was also very good. However, after a long flight, the front desk told me that check-in was not until 3 PM. When I asked if there was a ready room, they said yes, but I would have to pay 8 euros for early check-in. It feels like the management is being a bit penny-wise and pound-foolish, which is a shame for such excellent facilities.

This is the perfect starting point for a relaxed journey to your flight. The staff is friendly, and the food is always good, including breakfast.

We've had better experiences in other 4-star hotels. Perhaps things were off from the very beginning here. The lobby was too cold. The carpet and windows in the room were partly dirty. The pillow service didn't work properly; the pillow arrived 4 hours later after a reminder, and the down pillow we requested was no longer available. In the wellness area, only one sauna was working; everything else was out of order. Only one shower was functional, and it was quite hidden. The late check-out we booked extra was not communicated to housekeeping, so we were asked to leave the room during our afternoon nap. It barely felt like a 5-star hotel that day. The breakfast, however, was very good, which it should be for the price.
