The hotel has an unbeatable location, with restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and bright. The firm mattress and powerful showerhead fully met my basic hotel needs. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, but the food quality was just average, and despite having a lot of staff, efficiency was low. A closer look revealed that almost everyone was busy rushing anxiously through the lobby, yet nobody paid attention to whether tables needed clearing or if guests required assistance. It was a pity for the guests waiting in long lines outside. The biggest issue this time was that the opposite building was too close to the room. When booking on Trip.com, the Deluxe Twin Room was noted as having an obstructed view, so I chose the Deluxe City View Twin Room instead. Reality matched the photos, meaning we kept the dividers closed almost the entire four days, resulting in a poor experience, much like staying in a confined space.

The room is well-equipped, and the blackout curtains work perfectly. The staff are highly professional and can communicate in English. I often returned to the hotel late, but a quick call to the front desk always got my requests promptly fulfilled.

This hotel is conveniently located near Kyoto City Hall in Kawaramachi Sanjo, right in the heart of the Kawaramachi shopping district, with the Kamo River just behind it. The breakfast was a bit average, requiring a wait, and the selection of dishes was limited. However, the room size is considered large for Japan.

The hotel's location is perfect, right in Shijo. It's about a 10-minute walk to Takashimaya or Daimaru. The hotel is very new and the rooms are definitely spacious for Japan! The bed seems to be two put together, making it super large. Great value for money.

The service was really mediocre. I specifically requested a room on the 9th floor a month in advance because it's near the Executive Lounge, meaning I wouldn't have to go up and down floors. However, they completely ignored my request, and when I asked, they simply said the hotel was full. When I checked in at night, I felt the front desk staff weren't very friendly either. The lobby is quite nice, and while the food at the Executive Lounge isn't extensive, the ambiance is decent. If the price difference isn't too much, definitely go for an Executive Lounge room. The room also had an unpleasant smell. The location is alright. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying for an extended period; it's more suitable for a one-night stopover.

Excellent hotel, would definitely stay here again. The rooms are very spacious and bright, and the location is super convenient. You can easily walk to Takashimaya, Ichizawa Shinzaburo, and the Kamo River – it's just so handy. The only downside was the breakfast, which wasn't very good. So, you could opt for a room without breakfast and eat out, as there are plenty of convenient options nearby.

An old five-star hotel, a bit disappointing. The transportation is quite convenient, right across from the subway exit. However, the executive lounge is terrible. There are no matching dishes, and we had to queue every day for three consecutive days. Absolutely no service. When a dish ran out, it took ages to refill. A bit outrageous and disappointing.

The location is super convenient! It's just a 5-minute walk to the pedestrian street, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. If you're looking to shop, it's also very close to a mall, about a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station.
