William's Grant Inn Bed and Breakfast

The Inn was charming, warm and beautiful. It is a true reflection of the owners Elizabeth and Doug, every detail was thoughtfully curated as though they were welcoming you into their own home. Stayed here for a weekend/wedding and it accommodated all of our needs. Clean rooms and linens that reflect the costal charm of Rhode Island. Breakfast was wonderful, assorted and filling. We started each day getting to know the people around the table also staying at the Inn. We felt there was a balance between privacy and sharing our own personal stories with those around us. We look forward to our next stay at the Inn!

Bristol is full of charm, but the hosts Doug and Elizabeth put this trip over the top. Scrumptious homemade baked bread and other delights awaited us every morning. We walked to the Maritime Museum and to the free outdoor concert on the harbor, dodging little bunnies squeezing into the perfectly manicured gardens of this colonial neighborhood. Nearby Warren boasts a no-till farm and Audubon trails that felt like walking through meadows in an enchanted forest. We managed to catch some of the World Cup games while sipping local beer and sharing a giant lobster roll. A nice little getaway.

I just spent a week with Elizabeth and Doug in their quintessential New England inn. I was there for my nephew’s graduation from Brown. I’m from the Pacific Northwest, and my sister from Bristol recommended I stay at the William’s Grant Inn. I’m glad I did! Elizabeth and Doug were charming; the home and grounds lovely; and the breakfasts a highlight. My room was on the first floor and so comfortable. For a moment I wondered whether the traffic and street noise might be noticeable, but it was so quiet! I’ll definitely stay here whenever I come to Rhode Island. I highly recommend!

We spent four nights at Doug and Elizabeth’s charming inn. It felt like a home from home. The bed was comfortable and the room was light. The house is situated on a very pretty street two blocks from the sea and a five minute walk from the centre of town. There was a guest sitting room with coffee and sofas. Breakfasts, cooked by Elizabeth, were homemade and delicious. Doug and Elizabeth treated us like friends and gave us great advice as to what to do in the area. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Charming, convenient and full of hospitality. A truly enjoyable stay. Homemade baked goods, breakfast, and greeted on arrival. Modern amenities in a 19th century package.

Exceeded all expectations for a relaxing getaway. Comfortable room and a delicious breakfast ! Our hosts made us feel right at home and had great suggestions to add to our activities. It was truly a pleasure and we highly recommend this inn.

Stayed here will biking the East Bay Bike Path and doing a college visit at Brown. The complimentary snacks and beverages were much appreciated and breakfast was delicious. The house is lovely and in a quiet area of town. Thanks so much for having us!

My Daughter was working in East Providence & invited me to stay here for a night. I wouldn’t give this B&B anything less than 5 Stars! The home is adorable, tastefully decorated and the hosts were super sweet! Such easy access to downtown Bristol, lovely backyard, breakfast was amazing, slept like a baby & we totally enjoyed the stay! Hope to make a yearly visit!

I could not have imagined a more lovely place to stay on our trip to Bristol and Newport. Elizabeth and Doug were the most gracious possible hosts, and we had such a great time talking to them each morning over an absolutely delicious breakfast. We stayed in the Harbor Room, which was perfectly cozy and made for a very comfy night's sleep after our days out exploring! The yard and the common area upstairs were both great places to sit and read for a bit in our down time -- coming from the busy city, we loved how quiet it was! Thank you both for making our stay tremendous.
