Appi Kogen Mori No Hotel

Hotel was located approximately 3mins drive to Appi Kogen Snow Resort. Our room had a cypress bathtub however hot water was difficult to adjust to desired temperature. There were two first come first serve private onsen which was very beneficial for our friends with tattoos and shy people. 40min time limit was more than sufficient. There was a cold bath in the public bath which helped with recovery from our daily snowboarding. There was also a heated dry room where guests can store their gears, at your own risk of course. There was also a room for board waxing with iron and brushes provided! Daily breakfast food choices could be better and beef dinner was excellent! Overall a very comfortable and satisfying stay. Would choose Appi Kogen Mori no Hotel again when we visit next time.

This hotel is really out-of-the-way; I'd recommend driving. It's mainly a place to go if you want to ski, as it's by a ski resort. I found the area to be very quiet. The hotel food was excellent, though you'll need some level of Japanese proficiency to effectively communicate with the staff. You can enjoy a bath in your room, or the hot springs downstairs. Overall quite nice, the rooms have a cottage feel.

The only issue here was the size of the room The dinner and breakfast were works of Japanese artistry. The dinner rolls through 3 set menus shabby dhsbu, Korean style bbq and Sukiarki Onsen was great Staff were lovely The guys in the car park clearing snow and helping you park were awesome.

The family style room is spacious and comfortable.  Has 2 very nice private open-air onsen which you could use. The breakfast and kaiseki dinner were delicious, enjoyable and complete, with many small side dishes and courses. Great location for skiers and golfers. The staff was helpful and very pleasant.

Great location for snowboarding. We enjoyed our meal there as well. Would be nice to have a laundry room. The private onsen is a bonus.
