The Cooper offers luxury and service at a whole new level. Overnight Supervisor Luke put us in a beautiful room after leaving another hotel that was not a good fit for the birthday experience my friend had envisioned. The Cooper is THE Charleston destination. Ocean front, luxurious immaculate! Christine Vincent our personal concierge provided us with suggestions, made reservations and arranged a special birthday treat. The ENTIRE staff is amazing: Courteous and energetic. The nautical aesthetic of ocean blue leather, sand colored carpet and beautiful wood made me feel as I was on a yacht! It And the fresh flower arrangements! The Cooper is unforgettable!

We booked a staycation at The Cooper to celebrate my birthday after hearing it was *the* place to stay in Charleston, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. We were greeted by two valets who immediately handled our luggage, a manager welcomed us, and we were introduced to our personal concierge, Gavin. Check-in couldn't have been easier, just order your drink of choice and relax in the beautifully appointed lobby while everything is taken care of. Gavin then gave us a personalized tour of the property, including the gym, spa, restaurants, and the stunning infinity pool overlooking the Cooper River and Charleston Harbor. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon, and the pool deck was perfectly equipped with complimentary sunscreen, plenty of umbrellas for those who wanted shade, and an attentive pool staff that never missed a beat. At the end of the tour came an unexpected surprise. Gavin escorted us to our room and let us know we'd been upgraded to a top-floor waterfront room in honor of my birthday. Waiting for us inside was a chilled bottle of champagne, a handwritten birthday card, and a beautiful cake. It was an incredibly thoughtful touch that made the celebration feel truly special. The attention to detail continued throughout our stay. The hotel's integration with Resy meant they knew we had dinner reservations at Marbled & Fin that evening. Rather than calling an Uber, they simply arranged for the house SUV to take us to dinner. Every interaction felt genuine, polished, and effortless. The service, amenities, accommodations, and overall guest experience were simply first class from start to finish. The Cooper has absolutely earned its reputation as one of Charleston's premier hotels. We'll definitely be back.

As longtime Charleston residents (16 years), we’ve enjoyed many fine restaurants and hotels here, but our evening at The Cooper Hotel and The Crossing on July 3, 2026, stood out for its seamless, genuine hospitality and quiet competence. What began as a casual drive along the Battery to scout July 4th fireworks viewing spots became a thoroughly relaxing and memorable experience. Our visit started smoothly when a friendly young man greeted us at the driveway and guided us into the valet courtyard. Dylan, a valet, appeared immediately as I stepped out, knew just how to handle our Tesla (politely asking for the key card I’d forgotten), and set a tone of effortless care from the first moment. As we approached the entrance, a smiling young man held the door for us with genuine enthusiasm and welcomed us warmly, making us feel like honored guests right from the start. The front desk staff greeted us just as graciously and directed us up the grand twisting staircase to the light and airy bar lounge. Inside the lounge, Max, a server, noticed us standing between the bar and seating area and stepped in as a gracious guide. He listened to our story—no reservation, not hotel guests, just exploring—and warmly explained our options. When we decided to stay for dinner, he escorted us to the hostess team. Carson and her colleagues seated us promptly and cheerfully in the beautiful Captain’s Lounge. Remarkably, we went from the driveway to our table in under ten minutes. Madelyn, our server, provided excellent, attentive service—present when needed, never intrusive. She brought crisp filtered water right away and ensured everything was just right throughout the meal. Sommelier Michael was engaging and knowledgeable; after a friendly conversation, he selected a lovely glass of champagne for me and crafted a beautiful mocktail for my wife. We enjoyed the Htipiti appetizer, followed by the Heritage Chicken and King Salmon—both very well prepared. A thoughtful food runner named Ina paused with genuine concern when she noticed my unusually peaceful expression. She came over to inquire if everything was to my liking. I explained that the combination of the elegant setting and the staff’s competence had allowed me, for the first time in a long while, to fully relax and let go of any sense of needing to manage the evening. Her visible delight in my comfort was one of the most touching moments of the night. Restaurant Manager Ricardo Ornelas stopped by for a warm, personable chat, and we both appreciated the refined yet welcoming atmosphere that felt reminiscent of the French Riviera (Nice or Villefranche-sur-Mer for me). We also had a brief, pleasant conversation with general concierge Jordan Lemieux, whose authentically pleasant demeanor reflects the hotel’s thoughtful approach to guest experience. A special highlight was seeing Darrel at the bar. We know him from another favorite local restaurant, and it was actually his recommendation that first sparked our int

Outstanding hotel from start to finish. Our room was amazing, and the service was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and treated wonderfully by the staff. The rooftop pool and its view were one of a kind — absolutely memorable. We were there for a family gathering, and the hotel could not have worked out better for our group. The location was also perfect, with a short walk to just about everything we wanted to see and do. A beautiful hotel, wonderful service, and an overall fantastic experience. Highly recommend.

location is amazing! Atmosphere is top notch no little details left out. Down to sunscreen and face block for pool area. VERY clean!!! Nice and quiet, besides kids playing in pool. SERVICE WAS AMAZING!!!! The bar staff and wait staff by the pool are top of the line. The wait staff, pool staff, bar staff were hands down a 10+. Exceptional…They are all so helpful, there when you want food, drink, towel or sunscreen. You just literally relax!!! Which this traveling mom loved, especially since I was kid free. Just an absolute gem. Growing up in Charleston lots of luxury places have come and gone but I think The Cooper is there to stay. BIG shout out to the entire pool staff.

AMAZING New Waterfront hotel, the staff is young and energetic and was kind enough to give us a tour. There is no way this hotel should be ranked 47 on Trip Advisor, should be #1, just on the overall experience and location! Unfortunately we are staying at the Bennet hotel which was rated higher and is an older vibe. Cooper’s experience starts with their house BMW M entry into their private driveway, contemporary yacht vibe and 10 great restaurants within walking distance.

From the moment we arrived, the level of service at The Cooper was nothing short of exceptional. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, comfortable, and seamless. We would like to give a very special thank you to your Manager, Ross, whose attention to detail and dedication to guest experience truly stood out. Ross seemed to dot every "i" and cross very "t", ensuring that every aspect of our stay was handled with professionalism and care. What impressed us most was his willingness to personally dedicate his time to accommodate us and make certain that everything exceeded our expectations. Gavin, our personal concierge, was incredibly warm, welcoming, and personable. She made us feel genuinely valued as guests, had a great listening ear for all of our family stories, and provided outstanding recommendations and assistance throughout our stay. Shelby, at the poolside bar, was equally wonderful - friendly, attentive, and engaging. She took exceptional care of our teenage girls and made them feel included and comfortable in such a thoughtful and gracious way. We also want to recognize sweet CeCe and Ravin, from the pool as well, who were both so kind and pleasant. Their cheerful attitudes and excellent service added so much to our overall experience. It is rare to encounter a team so committed to hospitality and genuine guest care. The Cooper has assembled an outstanding staff, and because of them, our stay was truly unforgettable and we look forward to returning again soon.
