JL Hotel (Guilin Julong)

An all-around satisfying hotel experience! It's a 10-15 minute walk to the Gongnong Bridge Pier, and even quicker by e-bike, yet it's tucked away in a quiet spot despite being central, with great soundproofing! Traveling in the off-season, the front desk proactively upgraded us from Building C (second row) to Building B (first row). When we noticed a small issue with the room, the front desk resolved it promptly and moved us to another room. The sheer size and stunning views completely blew us away! The complimentary travel photoshoot takes place on the rooftop 'Sky Mirror', which has fantastic props, and the photographer was great at guiding poses—you can easily get gorgeous photos without even leaving the hotel. Incredible value for money! The handmade craft on the day of check-in was a floating lacquer fan, making it a great little prop for the next day's photos. The on-site restaurant for main meals is also highly recommended; the prices are reasonable, and the food easily rivals outside restaurants—delicious and reassuring. Suggestion: putting a menu in every guest room would definitely boost sales!

The hotel is located in Jiguowu Village near the Shili Gallery, away from the hustle and bustle of West Street, yet it's very convenient to ride an e-bike to the Yulong River or Gongnong Bridge Wharf. The hotel also includes a complimentary travel photoshoot session, and the photographer was extremely attentive, capturing stunning, blockbuster-like photos. Overall, this was a fully satisfying stay, and I would definitely come back given the chance.

The environment is fantastic, and you can enjoy the scenery right through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The room is very spacious with four different sofa areas, giving you a cozy spot to lounge around anywhere you like. It was impeccably clean. While we were out exploring, the staff sent messages asking if we needed housekeeping and when it would be convenient for them to clean. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. In addition to breakfast, the hotel also offers a complimentary afternoon tea and late-night spicy noodles. We were too full from dinner to try the midnight noodles, but we did have the afternoon tea and it was great. The staff service was also very attentive. When I wanted to do some laundry at night, I found that the washing machine wouldn't take in water. I contacted the front desk, and two young ladies took time out of their busy schedule to check it for me and contacted a technician to resolve the issue. I am very grateful to them.

Julong Town Hotel in Yangshuo is amazing! The environment is quiet and serene, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the window view of the mountains and rivers is picturesque. The service is warm and attentive, and the breakfast offers a great variety. The family-friendly facilities are well-equipped, and I'll definitely come back again! The hotel also includes a complimentary travel photography session; the photographer was very patient and the photos turned out stunning. Highly recommended!

Yangshuo's karst landscape is truly stunning, and the attractions are decent too, but they are just too scattered. If you want to try the famous beer fish, make sure to buy a group deal, otherwise it's quite pricey. Riding an e-bike around is okay, but the traffic is terrible. I really wouldn't recommend visiting during public holidays—parking is expensive and finding a spot is nearly impossible. For such a major tourist city, the infrastructure and facilities really shouldn't be this inadequate.

The hotel environment is stunning—the property itself is a scenic attraction. The restaurant is great; as parents traveling with kids, we had two meals there. On the day of our checkout, since we had to catch an early high-speed train, they even packed breakfast for us, which was so thoughtful. We were also very satisfied with the vacation photography service—no hidden traps or gimmicks, definitely worth a try.

Every time I visit, I stay in Jishui, and this trip was particularly surprising. I discovered another hidden gem of a hotel! The view outside the window was like a blockbuster movie. I checked in with my two kids, and the butler thoughtfully upgraded us to a family room. Sitting by the window, everything just slowed down. Watching the mountains shrouded in mist during the light rain was truly relaxing. My little girl's comment, 'It's so clear!' perfectly described the room! I originally chose this room because it had a washer-dryer, but I never expected so many pleasant surprises after checking in. The afternoon tea was also delicious, and my two kids enjoyed it very much 👍. I especially loved the tea brewed with red dates and passion fruit. The restaurant also had Guilin rice noodles. It was the first time my kids tried Guilin rice noodles, and they both ate so much, basically a large bowl each. For me, seeing my kids unlock new food experiences, try new ingredients, and be happy and satisfied is the surprise I wanted. From now on, their standard for Guilin rice noodles will be based on this, haha! The hotel is very clean, and the tidiness feels absolutely five-star. It's on par with, if not better than, the InterContinental next door in terms of service, and the view is definitely superior. Plus, with all these additional services, it's a perfect choice and a perfect trip. I've saved this hidden gem of a hotel and have already recommended it to my friends.
